Al went above and beyond and I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a car. I ended up leasing a 2017 Toyota Corolla. Great car, great dealership and even better customer service. Al made it clear to me that he was not trying to make the sale but rather earn his trust and to come back in the future! And that I will! Awful experience and dishonest sales representatives If you want a good lemon, go see Mike Cote and Steve Zion Jr. of Toyota of Wallingford. They sold me a used car and within a few days of using the veh If you want a good lemon, go see Mike Cote and Steve Zion Jr. of Toyota of Wallingford. They sold me a used car and within a few days of using the vehicle it was found that the front defroster was not working. Car was brought back to Wallingford Toyota several times and we were always told that there was no problem. While still under warranty, the check engine light also went on and the service employees of Wallingford Toyota wanted nothing to do with the vehicle and continuously avoided the problem. Due to the fact that the check engine light remained on after being "serviced" by Wallingford Toyota, we brought the car to get code checked and it read that there was a misfire on coil 4. The service employee told us that they had swapped coil 4 and coil 3 which in turn swapped the misfiring code to coil 3. Needless to say, over the course of the 2 years that we have owned this car, we have continuously put money into the car totaling at least $2000. At this point in time, the car needs major engine repair that could have been avoided had Toyota of Wallingford stood by their warranty and fixed the car at the time of purchase. If they were a stand up business, they would buy the car back in full; however, they want absolutely nothing to do with it. At the time of purchase I was a 17 year old high school student that had saved up my own money to purchase this car and now being a full-time college student, I do not have a car to get me through the rest of college. It is terrible that Mike Cote, the salesperson who was well aware of the repairs the car needed, sold me this car anyway knowing that I was a young high school student. I am aware that he has daughters of his own and I know that he would be enraged if someone took advantage of his daughters the way he took advantage of me by selling me this vehicle. I absolutely do not recommend Toyota of Wallingford to ANYONE; you will end up spending thousands of dollars for absolutely nothing but a headache. More
