Check engine light becomes problem child. - IndyThart
I took my 5 year old 65,000 forester in for a check engine light. Due to being busy and not having an appointment they were able to squeeze me in and fix it. When I picked my vehicle up I head home only to have an issue, I immediately turned around and dropped it back off. I told them what happened they took a few days and went through it with a fine tooth comb. When I got it back they meet and exceeded every request I had. My vehicle has had all scheduled service performed by them and they will still be the only place I take my vehicle for service and repair.

Saved me after dead battery - GTI fan
Found a dead battery as I left work. Got a jump from a friend and showed up at Tom Wood VW 20 minutes before their service department closed. I left the car and they provided me transportation in 15 minutes! The next morning I had my car back by 11 AM with a fresh battery. Very impressed by the fast & friendly service. Thanks Tom Wood VW! You saved me in a time of need.
Senior Service Consultant
Customer Service is what sold me - Robin
I have always owned a Toyota. My daughter bought a VW from Clarksville. The customer service she received is why I came to Clarksville VW.
Courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service - Borst
Purchased my car from previous owner of Mike Alsop Chevrolet. OnStar was installed and operational in the vehicle. Got an air intake system error, and was advised OnStar to take for repair immediately. Took to Alsop's multiple times and was sent on my way because they could find nothing wrong and to ignore the warning as a false computer reading. After getting error for the 4th or 5th time, I took it to Mike Raisor's in Lafayette and found within 4 hours of arrival that the air intake manifold had a large visible crack in it. I was given a loaner car while awaiting the part to arrive and to be installed. It was in in about a week and fixed the same day! Now that's what I call service.
Professional Service - Carman
It started when I purchased my Tiguan working with Mason and Mike. Now I am servicing my car at the dealership and the experience has been a good one. (Like the complimentary car wash.)
Like anything you have to review pricing for services rendered. But feel if something were not right they would take care of it.
Excellent service, sad excuse of a General Manager - CGreenlee22
The service department and sales department are PHENOMENAL. the only drawback would be the narcissistic, unethical individual that they have appointed as the General Manager. Sad that the team can only go as far as the leader takes them. A crime is a crime and a felony is nothing to scoff at. I LOVE the team, they are second to none. Stay away from the slimeball in charge!! 😔
Great Friendly Fast Service ! - mgmg93
Great customer service year after year. Thanks Brad...
Car was cleaned nicely.
Appreciated the loaner car.
Will defiantly return for next service.
Recommend for anyone wanting great work.
Always friendly and helpful. - Sillimaggs
Abby and Larry are by far the best car service people I have ever worked with. They are kind and friendly and very helpful. I recommend vorderman for all of the service needs of every make and model.
An expected experience. Would not recommend their warranty. - Beelzebug
The 3rd party warranty company they use is kind of sketchy. I had the power train warranty that covers the engine, transmission, mostly moving parts. It covered the replacement of a seal on the oil pan. However, there was another issue with a leak coming from the vacuum pump that was more than twice the cost of the other repair. It was not covered. The service tech was nice enough and wanted to help but took the final word of the warranty company. They offered a discounted price on the repair but it was still out of reach financially and still is. The general manager is now involved and pushing back with their contact at the warranty company. Hoping for the best.
Ripped off too - Vw girl
Ripped off** post. I had a similar situation. I had the door panel removed and everything worked, it just needed a new part. When I got there after I bought the new part online, they told me the handle was broken and demanded $650 to fix it. I paid to get the window fixed because I had to go out of town. I wrote a review. They sent me a coupon to come in for an oil change so I went in thinking they would apologize and maybe give me a discount on my oil change. They let me sit for over an hour and then told me I was banned because of the bad review. They refused to give me my keys back and threatened to call the police. I patiently waited and fortunately recorded the entire interaction on my phone. I have video and audio of these guys threatening me. I sat another 1 1/2 hours with the owner saying,” you know I’m going to call the police” while pacing around me. They called the police because I “wouldn’t” leave, even though they had refused to give me my keys back. They then handed me my keys right when the police arrived so the police wouldn’t see it and the police questioned me. The nice officers must have done this before and they advised me to go to a better, more reputable VW dealership. I took their advice and went to Highland VW. I was afraid to post this because of the backlash I have received after writing the first review. I contacted VW and they sided with the dealership because they are independent and cannot have actions taken against them. They told me they requested Team Volkswagen to apologize, but they said they couldn’t enforce it. Moral of the story is this, any interaction with Team VW should be recorded with video and audio for protection of the consumer. The constitution protects freedom of speech. A dealership can pay for a bad review to go away. Unfortunately they cannot pay me to go away. Support Highland Volkswagen! They care about their customers unlike this antiquated dealership Team Volkswagen. I asked for my file on my car and Team refused to give it to me. Luckily I have all of my records and photos of my estimates I received from Team. Including an estimate of $900 to rotate my tires because they said they were frozen. I took it to Highland and believe I paid under $30 for them to help me, and they were not frozen. I found out that Team had been using cheap oil and charging me for synthetic. Dont let the bullies at Team Volkswagen threaten you. Maybe with enough bad reviews where the same things (broken window regulators, bad service and threats from a Dealer, maybe someone will stand up for the little guy (the customer). Remember to push record the minute you arrive to the parts department or interact with a person at Team.
Service Department is a Nightmare - Manny
I came to highland volkswagen to get my car serviced in the service department because of an electrical issue . I dropped off my car and a week later they could not still correctly diagnose the problem which had to do with the back window and door lock not working correctly. For 3 days straight I kept getting conflicting stories from Allison the service advisor, the story changed every time I called . Finally on the 8th day with no car and money out on the rental car I had to pay for , I came and got my car out and took it to Team Audi/Volkswagen in Merrillville where there were able to diagnose the same day . So apperently they were just changing parts and guessing because it never fixed the problem. So I moved on and got over it . I went to give them a chance today to get my oil changed and just an oil changed and was turned down and told they can no longer service my vehicle by the service manager Kelly S. . How unprofessional and not reliable this service department is . If they weren't going to service my vehicle any longer I should of been told yesterday when I made the appointment with Justine yesterday instead of showing up this morning and having the service manager Kelly S. Tell me they could no longer work on my car when they were in the wrong the first time. Fair warning stay far away from the Service Department at Highland Volkswagen they have no clue what there are doing and no professional or management skills when it comes to there customers. I wish Sean and Cheryl was still there I never had a problem prior but the people in place now are totally clueless when it comes to business. I will never step foot in there again after what I went through and how I was treated by Servce advisor Allison and Service Manager Kelly S. . Maybe it's time to get people that have a clue on how to run a service department at a new car store not a mentality of an independent shop.
Avoid VW of Clarksville - Jfmamjjasond
Avoid VW of Clarksville, especially the service department. Eric and his hack service writers are liars. Back in early July I scheduled to have my airbag and fuel pump recalls repaired. I had been waiting months on the parts for the airbag. When I went in to pick up my car I was informed the airbag recall was not corrected because they did not have parts. I was promised a loaner when the parts came in. I called VW of America, parts were earmarked for my car, and an appointment set for mid-August. When I called to confirm with Clarksville, they did not have a loaner available so I agreed to reschedule. I was supposed to be called when a loaner would be available. Two weeks later, no call. When I called, I set up and appointment through Eric with the promise of a loaner. After driving through 1 hour of rush hour standstill traffic to get from Louisville to Clarksville, everything is written up. No loaner. Over an hour and a half later I am waiting on a call back from an owner or at least someone there who would care besides the very sweet sounding person who answers the phones.
They Damage my car and Refuse to fix it. - Gina
I wish I had read these reviews before taking my car here. Stay far away as possible. Had to take my car here because the person who was at fault had USAA insurance and this is their preferred provider. They fixed the front of my car fine. But also somehow damaged the sides, and broke off my antenna. They tried to tell me it was like that even though looking at the photos you can see it wasn't. Now I have to take my time and go through small claims court. I will continue to warn as many people as I can to stay away from blossom on shadeland.
Hello, all! If you're reading these reviews, I bet... - Josh_M
Hello, all! If you're reading these reviews, I bet you're probably in the market for a new vehicle. Well, I'm not here to tell you if Gates is the place for your new purchase, but I am quite prepared to say you should never try to get a vehicle serviced at this dealership!
I came to Gate and attempted to have my low-mileage, under-warranty vehicle diagnosed for a knocking sound. After a 2.5 hour wait (was told 1 hour, and watched another customer enter, get service, a loaner, and leave before me) a serviceman approached me and outright refused to diagnose the issue, stating their refusal was due to 'snow on the ground', and that I should come back when it's nicer outside. Seriously! As soon as I left their service center and hit the road at 20mph, the knocking was CLEARLY audible! After calling the service center to set a date and time *they* find appropriate, and not being given one, I requested to speak to the floor manager. The gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful, but said he could not arrange a diagnostic until the following week, which I found unacceptable.
I'm sure their salesman are quite genial and the deals superb, but I would suggest staying away from their service center: they seem selective about who they want to serve and who they do not.
I took my car in to be worked on for a timing chain... - day58
I took my car in to be worked on for a timing chain problem. I was repeatedly told that it would be no problem to fix. I ended up being charged $1,420.00 for a car that came back to me sounding and running exactly the same way it ran and sounded when I took it to them. When I called them the next day after I also found it was leaking oil they told me that it had metal shavings in the oil from waiting too long to get the timing chain fixed and that the car would probably only last another 30 to 40,000 miles. Now why wouldnt you have said that before you decided to charge me $1,420.00 for something that you didnt fix anyway. You are liars, con artists and rip offs. I would never reccomend anyone take their vehicle to gurley leep kia service on grape rd. I should be refunded every dollar I paid you people!
