A terrible experience at Rick Case Honda Davie. The finance manager had quoted me a 5.49% APR. I asked to include GAP insurance while keeping the payment at $635 for 72 months; they initially said it wasn't possible, but I pushed for it. The next day, they called to say they could include the GAP insurance at $635 for 72 months. I couldn't make it in then due to work, but since I really wanted the car, I went in today. After waiting two hours—and after they had already run my credit—the finance manager realized the program was actually for 60 months, not 72. According to the salesperson who assisted me two days ago, it was the finance manager’s mistake—though at this point, I don’t even know who to believe. When they consulted the manager, they came back and told me the payment would now be $743 for 60 months. They were the ones who originally offered me the $635/month option at 5.49% APR, even though my credit qualified for 5.87%. Because of their mistake, I couldn't get the car, and I’m left with a hard inquiry on my credit report. I wasted three days, spent hours waiting, and lost money on gas—completely unprofessional.
