I just picked up my third vehicle from Kool Chevrolet, - liberski76

I just picked up my third vehicle from Kool Chevrolet, and once again Stephanie Crawford made the entire experience outstanding from start to finish. Stephanie has now helped me purchase three vehicles, and every time she has been professional, knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely focused on making sure I get exactly what I need. She takes the time to answer every question, explains all the options clearly, and never makes the process feel rushed or pressured. What really sets Stephanie apart is her commitment to customer service. She remembers her customers, follows through on every detail, and makes you feel valued long after the sale is complete. The fact that I’ve returned to her for three vehicle purchases says everything about the trust and confidence I have in her. My newest vehicle pickup was smooth, efficient, and enjoyable, just like the previous two. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about her customers and goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Stephanie Crawford at Kool Chevrolet. She has earned my business time and time again, and I wouldn’t hesitate to send my friends and family to her. Thank you, Stephanie, for another fantastic vehicle-buying experience!

Great Sales service - Jody Lehman

We were looking for a new Equinox for our daughter. Mark Howard handled everything from the test drive to the final paperwork. Mark did everything and even washed the car and filled the gas himself when we picked up the Equinox. I think a few other folks could learn a few things from Mark on how to take care of customers. I really appreciated the service and giving me time to decide what I wanted. Thank you very much Mark and great job. Jody Lehman

Marcus was amazing to work with. - Crystal P

Marcus was amazing to work with. Got me into a practically brand new, low mile, great, reliable car with low money down. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He really cares about his customers. I was interested in a different vehicle but he wasn't comfortable putting me in it after finding out the battery was dead. Hardest part was trying to get through to my insurance. Great staff, I was a referral and I will absolutely be referring others in the future!

The service department is awful. - lanavanhoe417

The service department is awful. We bought two different plans, one for the car and 1 for the truck. First, you make an appointment and still have to wait depending on how many drive in oil changes there are. We’ve had 2 problems that we “know” of. The program was for oil, tire rotation and 27 point inspection. That is a laugh. One time they said they wouldn’t/didn’t rotate tires because we needed at least 2 new tires. First, they should come find you, ask if you still wanted them rotated. They have no idea what our thoughts are on that. Next..on the truck they checked every box on their inspection form. Not even a week later, husband was checking out something in the area of the filter and surprised there was a squirrel nest, complete with nuts etc. Had to have been for quite some time. Took pictures and actually took it in and service MANAGER says he’s sorry.Has a lot of new guys and they must have missed it. That is our problem? We paid good money for the plan expecting good and COMPLETE service. Brought the car in for service. We were having a problem with it making a squealing noise and a clunking noisewhen turning l. Asked them to check it out. Pick it up, said all was good, again inspection report had all things checked. Take it home, next day squealing/clunking noise still there. You tube university here we come! First thing to check, steering fluid. Well guess what, barely a drop in there - 2 days after service was done. Then you start wondering what else did they miss. Get the opinion email to fill out saying they hoped we could give them all 5’s. In both these instances we could not. Reached out by e-mail, NO RESPONSE. Actually got a second one, replied again by email- no response. In March I sent another e-mail. Response THANK YOU!!! (not sure for what)) Will NEVER take our vehicles to this dealership. I purchased my 2014 Ford Explorer from Ed Koehn in - Hannah

I purchased my 2014 Ford Explorer from Ed Koehn in Rockford on November 22nd. Approximately three hours after purchasing the vehicle, it experienced a long crank upon starting. I brought it back to the Rockford dealership on Monday morning, where they refused to address the issue. I then took the vehicle to Ed Koehn in Wayland, where they replaced the fuel pump under the warranty (I paid the $100 deductible). I drove the car for two days, after which the long crank issue returned. I contacted the Wayland location and was instructed to bring the vehicle back for re-diagnosis. I dropped it off on Monday, December 29th. The dealership had my car for a total of five weeks. During this time, communication was minimal unless I initiated contact. After several weeks, they reported that all six fuel injectors were bad, stating they believed the previous owners had used the wrong type of gasoline. One employee informed me that the warranty would cover the repair so we said they had the go-ahead to tear the engine down. After several days of hearing nothing, I called again and spoke with a different employee who told me the warranty company was not covering the repair and that they would complete the work for a discounted rate of $1,000. I questioned how I could be held responsible for damage allegedly caused by the previous owner, especially since the dealership’s website states that all vehicles undergo a thorough inspection prior to sale. I was told the vehicle was sold “as is” and that they would not cover the repair. At this point, I no longer trusted their diagnosis after obtaining another professional opinion. I was charged an additional $120 for the teardown, which I only authorized because I was falsely told it would be covered by the warranty. When I went to pick up my vehicle last week—after five weeks—it had approximately 16 inches of snow on it, indicating it had not been started or driven in several weeks. Upon starting the car, the check engine light was on and the vehicle was misfiring. When I initially dropped it off, the car was fully drivable aside from the long crank issue. There was no check engine light and no misfire. At this point, I have driven the vehicle for a total of two days and three hours and have paid an additional $220 with absolutely no resolution. I now have to pay for a tow truck to take the vehicle to a different mechanic to avoid damaging the catalytic converter. I have attempted to go through the chain of command with no resolution. I am absolutely disgusted and heartbroken by how this situation was handled. I come from a family of Ford loyalists—my father dedicated 18 years of service to Ford. However, due to this experience, I will not be purchasing any future vehicles from Ed Koehn and will be advising family and friends to do the same. I understand that I purchased a used vehicle, but when you buy from a well-known dealership, you expect some level of protection when serious issues arise within three hours of ownership. This entire experience has been a headache, compounded by poor communication and inconsistent information from multiple employees. I would strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from any Ed Koehn dealership.

don’t usually leave reviews, but I have to give a shout-out to Zachary Buckles at Bookwalter Chevrolet. From the second I met him, I could tell he wasn’t like the typical car salesman. No pushy nonsense. No fast-talking games. Just a good, honest guy who actually cares about helping you. Zach took the time to really listen to what I wanted, not just what he wanted to sell. He was upfront about everything — pricing, options, even things I didn’t think to ask. The whole experience felt easy and comfortable. And at the end of the day, I left with a great vehicle and peace of mind knowing I got treated right. Go see Zach Buckles. He’s the real deal. 💯🚘

Full of lies. - Mike

Full of lies. First my oil change emptied half or more of the oil on my new concrete when I returned home, then they told me the oil filter gasket was bad..funny there was no oil on the filter. Oil leak was on opposite side. An employee promised to come and clean the concrete today..the day is half over, not a word. They won't see me again.

Misleading information - Alan26

Was told they stilled had a vehicle that was listed online when I called, traveled 2 hours there to be told that it was on hold the whole time, however, that the supposed buyer had yet shown up or even test drove it! Thanks for having me drive 2 hours there steve when I could have used that 4 hours going to a dealer that actually had one for sale. Wasted a vacation day from work for this!
