We're very sorry this was your interpretation of the events, sir. Inevitably, we take all customers at face value as to the payoff amount remaining on their vehicles in advance of their purchase up until we can contact their current lending institution. In this case, as we explained, the payoff amount you supplied us was far less than what was actually owed per your bank. We can only base our contract creation based on the good faith estimates from our guests. In most cases of a negative review, we apologize for any miscommunication and work to resolve the issue. In this instance, though, there was nothing more to do than to request the difference in payoff amount. It is certainly not customary where we ever require someone to come back in with additional funds, but in this instance, it is what is indeed required as it was not a mistake on the part of our dealership. We truly do desire to move beyond this unfortunate instance and serve you long into the future.
