In 2018 I bought a 2018 Ford F150 from Lokey Volkswagen. The truck had 16000 miles on it, was lifted, had 35" mud tires on it, and the interior was changed from cloth to leather. I bought the truck, and The salesman suggested I get the extended warranty that would cover me up bumper to bumper up to 100,000 miles. I went ahead and purchased the extra warranty as well because I was traveling a lot so mileage /warranty was a small concern. Fast forward to May 2022, the transmission and both front wheel bearings went bad. I took the truck to my local Ford dealer, and the extended warranty company denied my my claim stating "The tires and lift altered the truck and led to the failures". I was a little miffed over this since I didn't alter anything, this was the way I bought it and an extended warranty was sold to me with it. I called Lokey to get assistance with the warranty company and they couldn't get them to approve it either. Lokey offered to refund the $5000.00 I paid but the repairs we're going to cost twice that amount. After several conversations with Lokey representative Kyle Childers, he offered to replace the transmission and wheel bearings If I could get the truck over to him in Clearwater from Melbourne. I paid the expense for towing the truck and Kyle did the rest (even providing me with a loaner until mine was ready). A lot of dealers would (and could) have said sorry all we have to do is refund what you paid for the warranty. Kyle decided to take the high road instead and ultimately do the "right thing". Some times doing the right thing costs a business money. I'd like to thank Kyle Childers and Brian Belviso for doing just that, "the right ". I would highly recommend Lokey Volkswagen to anyone purchasing a new or used vehicle. More
