As a Fleet Manager who has worked with Walker Ford under two different governmental entities, I can honestly say it has always been a pleasure doing business with your team. Your service advisors—Brian Kirk, Donald Mast, Shelley Ritter, and Daniel Victory—have consistently been professional, courteous, and among the best communicators I've worked with at any dealership. I also recently spoke with Justin Boczar, who was extremely helpful, and we always enjoy seeing Jim Kerekes when he stops by our shop. I'd also like to recognize your Parts Department. Tyler and John have always taken great care of us by providing the correct parts promptly and at very competitive prices. Because of the service we've consistently received over the years, Walker Ford has become our preferred Ford dealership. That said, my recent experience with the quality of repairs performed on three vehicles does not reflect the high standards I've come to expect from your dealership. Vehicle 1 2025 Ford Police Interceptor Utility VIN: 1FM5K8AW0SGB08500 Concern: ABS, Brake, Traction Control, and other warning lights illuminated. Vehicle would not shift into Drive. The officer was preparing to respond to an emergency call when the vehicle suddenly displayed multiple warning messages and would not shift into gear. He was forced to quickly transfer all of his equipment into a spare patrol vehicle, resulting in a significant delay in response time. After the vehicle was repaired and returned to us, the exact same failure occurred only three days later. Once again, the officer was delayed in responding to a call for service. This is not simply an inconvenience—it represents a serious public safety concern. If this condition continues to occur, it could have severe consequences during an emergency response. The vehicle has since been returned to your dealership for further diagnosis. Vehicle 2 2025 Ford Transit 350 HD VIN: 1FDVU4X80SKB27511 Concern: Transmission concerns including rough shifting, delayed engagement, vibration, and lack of power. The driver reported that the vehicle could barely maintain speed while climbing the Skyway Bridge. My mechanic also verified harsh engagement when shifting into Drive and delayed or abnormal transmission shifting while driving. I personally drove the vehicle to Walker Ford and also noticed abnormal transmission behavior while accelerating to highway speeds. Despite these concerns, multiple technicians reportedly drove the vehicle and concluded that no problem could be found. Given that multiple City employees independently experienced the same symptoms, I would appreciate a more thorough evaluation of the transmission before the concern worsens or results in a breakdown. Vehicle 3 2016 Ford Expedition VIN: 1FMJK1FT0GEF46330 Concern: Recall work and blend door actuator replacement. While the vehicle was at your dealership for three recall repairs, we also authorized replacement of the blend door actuator. After the vehicle was returned, the officer reported poor AC performance 2 days later. During our inspection, we found the high-side refrigerant pressure to be significantly lower than expected, leading us to believe the A/C system was either undercharged or has developed a leak following the repair. While performing additional inspections, we also discovered that condensate from the evaporator was draining inside the passenger compartment instead of through the drain tube. The insulation beneath the passenger-side carpet was completely saturated with water. Based on the work that was performed, we believe the HVAC case or evaporator drain was not properly reassembled after the dashboard was removed during the blend door actuator replacement.
