I am unfortunately having to write this review due to my extremely poor experience with Southern Collision Center on Peters Creek. After being involved in a car accident, my insurance allowed me to choos extremely poor experience with Southern Collision Center on Peters Creek. After being involved in a car accident, my insurance allowed me to choose a repair shop. I chose Southern Collision Center simply because of its proximity to my home — a decision I deeply regret. My truck was not drivable due to a flat tire and was towed to their facility. Southern Collision Center estimated the repair cost at nearly $28,000, declaring extensive damage such as a bent frame and axle. This estimate resulted in my truck being deemed a total loss by the insurance company. However, upon further inspection and after challenging their assessment, I found these claims to be completely unfounded. When I questioned the accuracy of their estimate, the manager berated me, claimed I "didn’t know what I was talking about,", "why don't you fix it then" and then increased the estimate to $34,000, which felt retaliatory and highly unprofessional. Thankfully, I was able to purchase my truck back from the insurance company and have it properly repaired elsewhere for only $9,000. The actual damage was mostly cosmetic — a far cry from the catastrophic damage Southern Collision Center claimed. In my opinion, this behavior borders on fraud. To take advantage of customers during an already stressful time is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting Southern Collision Center with your vehicle or doing business with them in any capacity. More

I have always had good feelings about my Hyundai service department. My husband and I have had five Hyundais since we moved to Vinton in 2005. Since he passed away in 2015, I have owned two Santa Fe SUVs department. My husband and I have had five Hyundais since we moved to Vinton in 2005. Since he passed away in 2015, I have owned two Santa Fe SUVs and Wayne Lewis has sold us all of them. Until this year, no extensive work was needed on our vehicles. The only complaint I have had was this last time when I was told my vehicle would be ready by Friday, May 30. It was not. That was okay but I had an important event that I needed to leave on June 4. Then “maybe Monday…..then maybe by Tuesday June 3rd. I had to beg them to have it ready because I needed to leave early on the 4th. Finally I was able to pick up my Santa Fe by 5:00 Tuesday afternoon! Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like having owned five Hyundais since living in the area for 20 years, I would expect some consideration. But….. I love my Santa Fe!! And I love the people who work there, especially Wayne Lewis! More
