He proceeded to get his paperwork in order while we waited. No big deal. When I checked in, the associate asked, if wanted to renew the oil change agreement and I said yes. He also let me know it would be a wait and there were 7 cars ahead to me. An hour and 45 minutes later, I went to check the status. I didn’t see the associate that originally helped me, so I approached the desk of a lady that was sitting in the service area. She informed me that she was off, but the person on the end could help me. So, I went to Albert and asked him the status. After being ignored for several minutes, I let him know I wanted to check the status of my vehicle. He asked my name and proceeded to review a few of the service documents on the desk and told me “I would have to wait for my service person to return to the desk for an update.” After waiting, a bit longer, Albert asked me my name again, and proceeded to look the information up on the computer and told me the car wash in the wash. I continued to wait an additional 10-15 minutes, went back to the service area, and spoke with the original service person. I gave him the information Albert provided and asked him to skip the wash and get my car. He did. I informed him that I no longer wanted the service agreement. He informed me that he had already made the contract. I informed him that I had not paid. He was annoyed, but proceeded to cancel the agreement. I told him 2 hours is too long to wait for an oil change, he responded it’s Saturday- the best day to come is during the week. I proceeded to pay the $112 for the service. Since I have owned this vehicle and my previous Cadillac, I have always returned to have the dealership service my vehicle(s). Unfortunately, the service seems to get progressively worse. In the same manner the customer is requested to schedule service, it seems the dealership would also schedule personnel to meet the needs of the customer. In addition, I like many customers work during the week, and the weekends are our only opportunity to get service work completed. So to say “it’s Saturday”, is not an excuse for lengthy service delays. The delays and the feeling I’m annoying the employees for asking questions is enough to keep me away. Based on a lack of customer service and the length of time it takes to get an oil change, I have decided to take my vehicle elsewhere for service. More
