On 1/21/23 my wife and I went to pick up a 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness that we had agreed on 1/14/23 and which we were paying cash for. I was told by the dealer they had to do credit check because it Forester Wilderness that we had agreed on 1/14/23 and which we were paying cash for. I was told by the dealer they had to do credit check because it was policy even on a cash sale; I said fine and they did and reported back that our Experian file had a block which was had there years ago due to their files being compromised and the dealer said I would have to remove the block but they said they could not do that because it was Saturday. I said there are 2 other credit bureaus pull a file from one of them and the dealer said they only use Experian and therefor we could not take the car home til the following week when they could get the credit file. We thereupon left the dealer and went around the corner and bought a Jeep and drove it home that same. All and all a very hard to understand experience. Allen W. Crawford More
