A technician made it so my charging cord automatically locks itself when inserted into the portal. I’ve brought my 2006 Tundra to Maita Toyota to be serviced since 2008 when I purchased the vehicle. This is the first time I’ve felt like I received sub standard service from the service department. serviced since 2008 when I purchased the vehicle. I brought my vehicle in for a 145000 mile service and also a problem with the internal engine air pump. My check engine light also came on that same day. I was able to talk to the shop manager, and he seemed to agree that there was a problem with the air pump. I waited about three hours and was informed by my service advisor that they had run the codes on the check engine light. He told me it showed a catastrophic failure of my transmission. I’ve never had any trouble …noise, slipping, non shifting with my transmission. I asked the advisor if it could be anything else … computer control module, wiring connections? He said, “They have to go by what the code says on the check engine light”. I agreed to the re-manufactured transmission. I was given a loaner to get home. I came back the next day and rented a vehicle. Approximately seven days later my truck was ready. I had the vehicle three days, less than one hundred miles driven, the check engine light comes on. I bring the vehicle back to the dealership. The diagnostics reported a shift solenoid problem. They reset engine light and did more testing. To make a long story short they kept my vehicle for about eleven days doing diagnostics. I did come in and talked with a manager, I think his name was Norbert. I told him what was going on and he said he would try to expedite things. I was given a loner vehicle during this time for which I was very appreciative. In retrospect I wish I would have had a second opinion on the transmission replacement. So far since getting the vehicle back the check engine light has not come on. I don’t feel like I was kept informed during this repair. I feel less confident that other diagnostics were not performed before announcing a catastrophic transmission failure. Donovan M. Ward More

Been going to Maita Toyota for Service since early 2008 when we first bought my Wife's new Camry Hybrid Platinum. During this period I have only had a grand total of (5) five different Service Advisors: On when we first bought my Wife's new Camry Hybrid Platinum. During this period I have only had a grand total of (5) five different Service Advisors: One retired, one transferred to another unit in Maita, one is now the Service Drive Manager and the other is now the General Service Manager @ Maita Toyota Sacramento. Bryce Shibata is my current Service Advisor and he has the same drive and determination as the others. He also excels in Customer Service which is a huge quality to have in my book. Now when I need to get in, I email Bryce and he prepares an estimate based upon his review of the specific car file for my vehicle(s) including his recommendations. I plan to stay with Bryce until he too gets promoted. Maita must be a great company to work for also as judged by the longevity and career development of these fine Gentlemen More
