They did a great job keeping us informed about the availability of cars with options we wanted and did not try to sell us cars we didn’t want. When a car came in that fit our needs, they worked with us on the price and I felt we got a fair deal. Subaru Jax made the car purchase an easy transaction after months of challenges with other dealerships. I would recommend. More

A few weeks ago my husband James purchased our first Subaru vehicle, an Ascent Touring in black on the Java Brown Nappa leather. He had a such a wonderful experience with Steven Barba at Subaru of Jacks Subaru vehicle, an Ascent Touring in black on the Java Brown Nappa leather. He had a such a wonderful experience with Steven Barba at Subaru of Jacksonville that we have thought about getting me an Ascent Touring as well. Our salesman, Steven Barba was soft spoken, professional, and courteous. I was so impressed with my husband's Ascent that I decided to trade in my 2022 Hyunda Palisade Calligraphy. He had a wonderful experience at Jax Subaru back on March 11th. I was so impressed with his Ascent that I decided to trade in my 2022 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy, which I really liked, and purchase a white on black Nappa leather Ascent Touring also with Steven Barber. We also dealt with Ryan Munro in the Finance office and he was just as great as Ovidio was two weeks ago working with my husband's black Ascent Touring. Ryan was great with my husband as the F&I process here at Subaru of Jacksonville is anything but adversarial or confrontational as it is with so many other franchise dealers in Florida where the dealership owner often puts immense pressure on these F&I Managers to maximize the dealership's profits even when this directive conflicts with the customer's true needs. Both Ryan and Steven were very kind and professional all aspects of our transaction yesterday. All in all, I was so impressed with their professionalism and kindness. I want to.thank Steven for taking the time to show me my new Ascent and giving me a full tutorial on the vehicle. I would very much recommend this dealer if you are in the market for Subaru; and not just in the Jacksonville area, but anywhere in Central or Northern Florida or Southern Georgia. I also love the fact they really cater to dog lovers. Finally, as a franchise new vehicle dealership with this kind of positive culture and no pressure sales, a sincere thank you must go to Mr. Porter and his family as the person at the top always sets the culture for the entire organization. Mr. Porter, your staff helped make me a two time Subaru customer all in the month of March and I thank you for a very good sales process and an exceptional delivery process. I am not sure if you were aware of this but Steven Barba came to our home on Thursday, March 16th to show my husband some features we missed during our first delivery of his black Ascent on March 11th. This willingness to help after the sale is not something most mass market brand dealerships do in our new vehicle buying experiences over the last thirty years. Thank you again Subaru of Jacksonville, and I really love my new white Ascent. More

I bought myself a new 2023 Subaru Ascent Touring in black on the Java Brown Nappa leather and really like this vehicle after one week of ownership. I never thought I would ever own a Subaru as I always view on the Java Brown Nappa leather and really like this vehicle after one week of ownership. I never thought I would ever own a Subaru as I always viewed the brand as not in line with how I see life. I realized after test driving one two weeks ago at Orange Park Subaru that I really loved the Ascent and wanted something a little larger then my almost new 23 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy AWD. I think the Ascent gets a bad name from being a 4-cylinder turbo and anyone considering a Palisade or Telluride should seriously give the Ascent a look. I have owned 2 Palisades Calligraphy SUVs as well as a Kia Telluride SX Prestige Nightfall SUV and both are great, but the Ascent Touring is right there with them only lacking a few features of the other two SUVS. However, these other two SUVs come at a higher price point in this area. Subaru gives you so much more value for your dollar and also has many of the accessories already on the Monroney label vs the Palisade or Telluride. In my first 285 miles, I am getting about 26 MPG and that is not bad at all. Next, I want to thank the ownership here as this is a family-owned small dealer mindset here and I love that. Other dealer groups around Jacksonville, whether publicly traded like Coggin or privately owned like Hanania or Nimnicht just have a very different vibe when you are negotiating your car deal. Hats off to Mr. Porter here for only having one dealer doc fee and making it reasonable by Florida standards. It's so refreshing to see a dealer owner go for the long-game and repeat business versus squeezing the most gross profit out of every new vehicle purchase. I negotiated as hard as I could, and I appreciate all that management did to step up on my trade and price their vehicle where this deal made sense to me as this was a want and not a need. Finally, my sincere gratitude to Steven Barba who was so nice and gentle to deal with both on the phone and in-person too. You almost have to ask him to speak up as he is mild mannered; this is not your typical FL care salesperson and I love that. Pushy and aggressive people bring the NY person right out of me, and I don't ever want to go back there to live ever again. Steven even came by my home this week on Thursday to show me the Ascent as I am totally new to Subaru and did not really understand that huge 11.6 inch display and all of its features. How many mass market brand dealers would allow their salespeople to come a customer's house after the sale is complete? Thank you Steven as you are aces in my book and I am a royal pain in the rear to do a car deal with so thank you sir! Finally, Ovidio is the Finance office made the credit card deposit and personal check acceptance with my trade vehicle paper title about as easy as it could be and five minutes from start to finish. Thank you Ovidio for not being pushy during the Finance process as that is very much appreciated. The culture here is anathema to most FL car dealership groups so if you are considering a Subaru, do your research but contact Steven Barba when you are ready to make a deal. Mr. Porter, the culture at Subaru of Jacksonville is a direct reflection of how you do business and I thank you for making the car buying process a little less adversarial. Now, if only you owned a Kia store, I would buy my next Telluride from you! More
