I go back and forth between buying new cars and buying used cars (Carmax) because I hate the new car buying experience in general. Having to haggle, pay attention to the numbers to make sure they don't change, etc. This was NOT the case at Ourisman. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend them in a heartbeat. I went through my credit union's car buying program and was immediately sent a few e-mails from John Treat. Great guy. I decided to go for an upgraded model and was told the savings could still be applied. John gave me an out the door price over the phone which was the same price he gave me when I walked through the door that evening. I called John when I was in route to him and didn't realize he was about to leave for the day. He told me not to worry and stayed well past when he expected to leave to make sure I got my dream vehicle. I was going to trade my car into Carmax but John had them take a look and I ended up doing better on my trade with the tax savings. This was a very transparent, pleasant experience. I couldn't be happier with my car or the service I received from John. Thanks Ourisman and John. I will be seeing you again in the future.

I came in with a very difficult situation and had negative equity on my previous vehicle but with the help of amazing people and hard work ! I was able to leave the dealer with the car a wanted on a great price deal ! Even though I had negative equity. They are definitely not there just to make a sale, they are there to make sure you leave happy with a car that you want to pay for ! That is the way they work here at the dealer . When I walked into Thompson today I didn't expect/nor was I planning to get a car. I was there with my mom to purchase her car. EJ Hightower, the salesman who assist my mom ask me was I interested in getting a car also. I reluctantly said no because I didn't think my credit was good enough to get one. He then proceeded to tell me that I would be surprised as to how they can help me get in a car, before I knew it I was approved with no money down and drove out of there with a all white 300 Chrysler. I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. He went over and beyond in assisting my mom and I. Anyhoo,only needed an oil change this time,was recommended a tire rotation and engine filter change but declined as I had already done both a week of so before,they advised me that there is a current open recall for sun visor wiring,(was already aware of it as FCA and the forum I belong to notify us)but having no issues with it and knowing the actual repair can actually "cause more issues/fire"(nothing to do with Heritage,actually a problem with the FCA repair),I was pleased Daniel didn't push this and respected I didn't want to have it touched.They updated my PCM after he took the time to inform me of what the update would do.Very professional.
After my oil change and PCM update,Daniel advised me my brake fluid needed changed,my front tires were getting tired and my rear brake pads will need changed in a few thousand miles,all of which Heritage will do for me as they earned the business by not being pushy.I like that.Sure I could get this done elsewhere for less,BUT I trust them and I prefer,owning a Jeep,having my Jeep maintained by a Dealership,especially the Dealership where I purchased it,makes perfect sense to me.
Again,they have NEVER "pressure sold" me any service on my vehicle,(Victor did once with my wife's Jeep,but after she called me,I pointed out the service he was talking about Jeep recommends it being done at 100,000 miles,hers at that time,only having 22,000 on it,he acknowledged it didn't need done),remember,the onus is on YOU as the owner to be familiar with what needs serviced and when, as the Service Advisors go by the YEAR of your vehicle,they are NOT trying to shake you down,just going by guidelines.
After my oil change was done,the technician drove the car to the parking lot,took out the paper floor protector and the plastic seat cover protector.Whys that important?How many times have you seen 'technicians drive a car like they stole it?He drove it as I would,slowly and sensibly.Thankyou sir!.I appreciated him taking the paper and plastic out.Again,Thankyou sir!When I got to my vehicle,as usual, no oily hand prints on the steering wheel,no oil on my seats and NO oily foot prints on my carpets.I have a black interior so doesn't really matter,BUT my wife has brown/beige in hers and has NEVER had any oil marks anywhere.UNLIKE the Chevy Dealership next door that ruined a carpet,left tools under the hood and a rag on the manifold and dipstick sitting on the inside of the fender,needless to say,I no longer own a Chevy,nor will I.
I LOVE my Jeep Grand Cherokee,Uber well built,fully loaded and bought from Heritage at an incredibly fair price,and they also have ALL my servicing requirements as they do it very well and have NEVER had a problem with anything,whys this important?I have been using Heritage for some 13 years now,purchased 14 vehicles from Dodge/Jeep most from Russell Troxell,the legendary Kenny always the manager involved,and I LOVE playing hardball with him,great guy,friendly and very helpful and honest when he tells you "this really is all we can do on price,out the door".
I know there is a lot of unrelated information on this review,especially as it's "just an oil change" but I want people to know I have been going there for 13 years,have bought 14 vehicles and I genuinely trust them on everything they have done.Never been pressure sold a vehicle,nor a service,and I have had some expensive services done,including tires,brake replacements etc,and have never had problems.
Hope this review helps those looking for a trustworthy servicing home for their vehicles.Just remember,upon your 1st visit they do for a very thorough check of your vehicle and will list any and all things that need attention.They ARE NOT trying to sell you things you don't need,they are just letting you know.For example,all my wife's vehicles,we bought brand new,and have serviced there too,couple of mine were bought pre owned.Never been stuffed on unnecessary services,and on one very expensive repair,they brought me into the service area and showed me the issues,which I appreciated, and had the repairs done.My point again and again,VERY trustworthy.Remember,this IS a FCA Dealership,so you WILL pay more per hour for service,BUT,they absolutely stand behind their work. Technicians are VERY friendly too.

I can't speak highly enough of the Service Steve, Neil, and Tim provided in helping my wife and I in buying our new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. I have known Steve for 30 years and he has helped my family and myself with many car purchases over the years. He and Neil were helpful as my wife and I tested the van and a truck with our car seat and 1 year old daughter. There was no pressure, just help.
Once we decided on the Pacifica, Tim helped us with all the paperwork and deciding on the right warranty protection for the car, again in a professional and no pressure manner.

service department is horrible. We bought brand new journey got check engine light same week. Took it in 4 times before they finally test drove it and figured out it needed an ecm flash update. Just took it in for a recall was told one day took 4. As soon as we left the lot engine light. They blame o2 sensor. Still never once test drove it. Bunch of lazy xxxxx. Avoid this dealer at all cost!

I called Don Whites when my transmission went up on my 2002 Jeep Liberty for the 2nd time. I needed a car immediately. I spoke to the sales person over the phone and told him that I wanted a 6 cylinder Jeep Cherokee and gave him the specifications I was looking for. He assured me that I had come to the right place. He tried to talk me into a 4 cylinder when I got there and I told him "absolutely not" as I had just driven one at Heritage and it drove like a go cart. He finally said he had the car for me and brought it around. I read the specs on the car that were listed on the window and everything was there except the leather seats. Keenan said they could be installed the following week. We negotiated the price and I left with the new car. On the drive home I noticed that the car was not shifting properly. I called Don Whites and they said that I was just not used to it and to make sure it wasn't slipping into manual mode. I drove it for a few weeks, not happy with the performance. The car hesitates to the point that it is unsafe to make a left hand turn if there is any oncoming traffic. You never know if it is going to move or not. In addition, when I go over a speed bump there is this God awful grinding noise and vibration under the break peddle. Twice, the tailgate has come down on my head while I was standing under it. It doesn't stop even if you try to push it up with your hand. This is a safety issue. What would happen if a child was standing under it when it came down?
I switched cars with my neighbor for a day and when he returned with the car, I asked him what he thought. He hesitated and asked me if I liked the car. I said that I wanted to hear his thoughts first. He said, "There is something wrong with your transmission". I called Don White's and took it in for service.
They reported back to me that they can't recreate any of the problems. The next time I took it in for service, I again complained about the transmission, the tail gait and the grinding sound, when I picked the car up, again, couldn't find anything wrong. The car continues to slip and bang from behind. This time, I had a service guy who took the car home. He couldn't recreate any of the problems either but said he wasn't so worried about the transmission because that is covered up to 100,000 miles. What? Are you kidding me? Then he proceeds to tell me he thinks it runs pretty good for a 4 cylinder.
And there you have it. The lying thieving sales people passed off a 4 cylinder as a 6. There is nothing on the spec sheet to point out if it's a 4 or a 6 cylinder.
I took it in last week for the check engine light and they returned it and said they found nothing but would run some updates. When I picked it up after 2 days, I had extremely low tire pressure. They couldn't even be bothered to put air in the tires. 2 days later, the check engine light was back on so I called the service manager directly. I gave him the list of complaints and he said he would try to get some answers and to not loose faith in them. Loose faith? I lost faith when I found out the 6 cylinder car I bought was actually a 4 cylinder. He did call me yesterday to tell me that it appears the thermostat has gone up in my 2015 Jeep Cherokee, it needs new struts, and the tire pressure guage has also gone up. It would really be nice if I got a call from the GM to apologize for what his sales staff did by misrepresenting the car that was sold to me. I bought a new car so that it would be years before I had serious issues with a car. I feel like they wouldn't be blowing smoke up my xxx all the time and trying to get one over on me if I was a man.
I would welcome a meeting with the GM and if by chance they can rectify this situation, I would be happy to update my review.

Purchasing my Jeep was a breeze. Getting the car serviced is not. Every time I try to make an appt - this time two days ahead, I'm told there's a week wait unless I want to rent a car and leave my car. I probably would not have bought a Jeep if I knew the service department was so onerous, not service friendly, and not accommodating to its customers. PS - my Jeep Renegade is less than 7 mos old...roof leaks, parking gauge needs service, oil needs to be changed.

I will never do business with Tate DodgeChryslerJeep again. I endured three days of shoddy dealership tactics and run-arounds! I am an individual that values my time and the time of others. Before I go to any dealership in search of a new vehicle, I do my due diligence and review the market value of the vehicle I am interested in, as well as the market value of my current vehicle, should I decide to trade up. I also review my personal finances and determine the maximum amount I am comfortable with spending/financing. I am very straight forward with the sales personnel when I arrive at a dealership, if we can get to where I need to be, we make a deal, if not I leave. I recently purchased a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Tate for my wife (Chris H. in New Car Sales was great) and everything went smoothly, so smooth in fact, that I decided to return a few days later to possibly buy a new vehicle for myself. I test drove a new Durango R/T and was so impressed with the vehicle, I was ready to do another deal with Tate. However, this time around, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the entire process. First, the Sales Consultant (Tom G.) wasn't straight forward about pricing and applicable discounts, nor were the Sales Managers (not sure of their names). They undervalued my trade-in vehicle by $3K. When I informed them that the price offering was not acceptable to me and I wanted to leave, they requested I allow them to review the numbers and "see what they could do". (Typical dealership tactics.) After an hour waiting, I was told "they worked the numbers and had me at my requested price point", if only I would sit down with their Business Manager (Patrick O.) At this point I still didn't have a final price in front of me to review. After another hour waiting for the business manager, I was told I was getting the "best" finance rate they could get me, however, the final price was still not what I had requested and they still hadn't increased the value of my trade. At that point, I expressed my displeasure and left the dealership. The following day, I received a call from the business manager stating that they would still like to work out a deal with me and that they were able to lower my interest rate to get me "closer" to my bottom line. (If they could lower the rate, why wasn't I given it the night before?) And that they where able to "find" another applicable discount. (Once again, where was this discount the night before?) I again asked about the value of my trade and they were only "willing" to come up in price another $1K. which was still $2K below what I was willing to accept. I once again informed them that they were still not at my requested price point and that I was not willing to depart with my vehicle for less than the fair market value I had requested. It was then requested I bring my vehicle back in for re-evaluation by the Used Car Sales Manager (Ken M.), however, when I agreed to bring the vehicle in that evening, (it was 5pm), I was informed that both the New Car GSM (Glen) and the Used Car SM had left for the evening and a determination could not be made until the next day. On the third day, I was greeted by another voicemail from the Finance manager that informed me that they were pleased to inform me that they had decided to raise their offer on my trade--$200 whole dollars. Needless to say, we did not do the deal.

So to start off I have recently purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram 4x4 from this location approximately 100 miles later the check engine light came on. I contact my salesman and asked why that might be. My dealer stated that the previous owner had put after market exhaust on the truck and that the exhaust he used would not match the trucks O2 censor and that is why the check engine light is on. Although I wasn't pleased with the answer given I decided to let it be and bite my lip.
Two weeks later I arrived on a Saturday morning to have the spray in bed liner installed. I removed the main bed cover which is a water seal cover to make the installation easier on the dealership. The cover has two rails with water hoses to drain water that would potentially stand on the cover itself. The dealership took both rails off the truck conducted the installation but failed to reinstall the rails so I could put my bed cover back on. In my experience with service departments if you remove an item of the truck you reinstall that item not leave them in the bed of the truck. I asked the service department why the weren't reinstalled and they stated to me that they would not be able to put them on for me and I could reinstall it myself or bring it back another day and they would take care of it. So I once again bit my lip Unsatisfied with the service. I got home 30 minutes later to discover that there was a series on small scratches above the handle to the tail gate. I contacted the dealership again on the following Wednesday to pay the remaining balance of my down payment of 3000 of the 8000 I put down. I notified the dealership that I was unhappy with the scratches and that they haven't tried to fix the problems. Later that night I was driving home from work when I heard a scraping sound coming from my truck at that time my exhaust pipe fell off and nearly caused three vehicles to wreck. I apologized to the people about the exhaust falling off almost causing a collision but was glad that no one was hurt. This could have been a very expensive law suit against the dealership if someone would have died because of there lack of inspection skills and selling a vehicle that had faulty equipment. I contacted the dealership that same night and to my surprise a salesman answered the phone and I told him what had happened. He asked me if I was going to bring the truck in and I said I would be there in the morning. I arrived expecting the dealership to seriously compensate me with several options and all I got was here's a rental car we will fix your truck and send you on your way. At this point I don't even want the truck it's faulty and has almost taken someone's life id rather they find me a truck that I like that has the same or better features and give it to me for the same price that I currently pay for the faulty truck if that can't happen I will be talking with a lawyer this afternoon.

Do not take you vehicle to this dealership for any repairs!!! This place is probably the shadiest that I have ever had to deal with. My wife took her car into the dealership after having problems with the ignition, the tech said there was a recall on it and then scheduled an appointment for her to have it fixed. Now when my wife takes off from work to bring the car to the dealership, there is no longer a recall on the ignition. This is either trying to take advantage of a woman and a customer or complete incompetence. Either way this place is not worth the risk in using.

Worst place I've ever been to to buy a car, they made my fiance feel like crap they acted like her credit was so bad she had to put down 10000 dollars , needless to say we went to bcp in Wilmington they sold us the car at a good rate and told us hertrich didn't even run the banks they told us they did. Traded a perfectly fine 2011 Jeep for a 2017 Jeep. Made deal where a comparable lift would be installed in the new vehicle, but were given a cheep body lift instead. Tire preasure monitoring system does not work in vehicle. When the vehicle developed problems they promised to come get it and fix it but never showed. Other dealerships refused to get involved in the mess created by Berlin Jeep. Several phones calls to the dealership were not returned. Filed Complaints with Jeep corporation but so far have not received any satisfaction. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Bought a used Jeep Liberty from an individual and it came with only one key. I bought a blank key from an outside source and had my son go to Bender's to have the key cut and programmed. They wouldn't touch it because it wasn't a MOPAR key. I knew I was risking the blank to be bad - what difference does it make to them? They were going to be paid for their time and effort. Nope, wouldn't touch it.
This would have been the perfect opportunity for this dealership to establish a good rapport - never know, I might need parts for the used Liberty and with a good experience, there's always the possibility I'd be back. They don't have to worry about it now.
