For a number of years, I have enjoyed my Mercedes SLK 350. Each time I drop off the SLK for service, I am treated as though I am the most important customer in the world. I am never talked down to. Never interrogated if I am not completely satisfied with a repair. A day or two later the Service Dept. calls to check if I am completely satisfied. It is easy to give the Mercedes dealership a score of 10/10.
My city driving car is a 2022 Kia Soul Turbo. I love this car too. Unfortunately, the treatment by the Service Dept. at Vandevere Kia in Akron, pales in comparison. There was an issue the minute I drove the SOUL off the lot after a recent service visit. Upon returning home, I called their Service Dept. and did not hear back for one hour. Unlike the Mercedes dealership, the Service Dept. rep was harsh and accusatory. In short, if I wanted the issue fixed, it was up to me to assume responsibility.
That night, I emailed the manager of the Vandevere Service Dept. as instructed. It’s been three days and no response. I found these words on their website. “Our team is motivated to do right by customers like you, to put your needs ahead of our own, and to act with honesty and integrity.”
If you choose to service your KIA at Vandevere, be wary.
