BUYER BEWARE: Dealership Sold Me a $55k Used BMW with an Inaccurate Accident History; Refused to Make It Right or Offset Costs of Repairs.
I am disappointed and frustrated with the lack of assistance and professionalism at this Toyota dealership. I expected that they would stand by the product they sold me but, instead, I have been dismissed and left to cover expenses out of pocket.
Approximately two months ago, I purchased a 2021 BMW X6 - a substantial investment for me costing more than $55,000. Within days of driving the vehicle, I encountered a series of alarming issues, including the illumination of the engine/drivetrain malfunction light. Concerned, I promptly had the car inspected by a BMW dealership who discovered that the vehicle had previously been involved in an accident and repaired improperly and inexpensively - including the use of common house screws to repair the bumper.
In addition, the headlights are misaligned, casting their illumination dangerously towards the ground, and the lower radiator blinds were damaged. The total cost of rectifying these issues amounts to over $10,000.
I have reached out to the dealership multiple times, providing detailed documentation, including invoices from the BMW dealership, outlining the extensive repairs required to rectify the vehicle's deficiencies that the active warranty will not cover due to the shoddy prior repair work.
I have been met with indifference and a blatant disregard by various members of their leadership team and - as an African American - I cannot help but feel marginalized and discriminated against in my interactions with them.
The dismissive and disrespectful demeanor of the general manager, in particular, has been both unprofessional and unpleasant.
As a customer who expected better treatment, I am left with no choice but to escalate this matter further and seek resolution through alternative channels. I urge potential customers to be cautious when dealing with this dealership. They are neither kind nor ethical.
