My vehicle ( 2018 CX5 ) broke down and had to be towed into the dealership twice within a two week time period. The first occurrence mazda repaired and replaced the battery and the car was released back t into the dealership twice within a two week time period. The first occurrence mazda repaired and replaced the battery and the car was released back to us. After a $400 tow bill, a $150 Uber ride back and a $265 Mazda bill we were back on the road. The second time, less than 2 weeks later, the vehicle broke down again and had to be towed in. At this time Mazda notified us that the mass airflow sensor wiring was pinched in between the air filter box and cover. We stated that the last people to service the vehicle was mazda service techs and that if that was the case it was most likely that a service technician must have closed the wires in the box. They of course denied. We asked for them to pull up our last service record from the time 2 weeks prior. They "could not find our previous record". So we did not accept the vehicle back at that time. We drove all the way back home and retrieved our previous service record ourselves which stated that Mazda performed the Full Circle Mazda Inspection. Included in that full circle inspection is checking under the hood at the air filter. The service tech now argued that just because the receipt to the customer says that, does not mean that the Mazda full circle service is actually performed on each vehicle. So either the service center is not performing Mazda's full service inspection as required to save time and money OR they were trying to deny that they had in fact made the mistake of pinching the wires in the box that now resulted in another $135 tow bill and $149 labor and repair service. They continued to argue with us that we owed the bill. We had to speak to a manager who continued to argue with us. We finally got it resolved and had the bill covered by Mazda but not without much hassle and arguing. Very unprofessional service. More
