We arrived at this dealership coming from a previous failed deal where they tried to sell us a vehicle with a cracked windshield. Leo sat down with us and we explained that to him he said "why should th failed deal where they tried to sell us a vehicle with a cracked windshield. Leo sat down with us and we explained that to him he said "why should they try to sell you a vehicle with a cracked windshield?, that's against the law".We proceeded to inform him which vehicle we were there for. He went to get the vehicle, the vehicle had written "auction ready" across the windshield which raised a red flag and a cracked windshield. The car had multiple cosmetic fault (too many for my liking). My son and my wife took it for a test drive Being that it had a decent Carfax record and they were about to take it to the auction, I was willing to talk about pricing. The minute we sat down he began talking down information. I told him that I would rather discuss the price of the vehicle and he responded "in this dealership we do things by step and we have to gather certain information before we can talk about pricing. I happen to get a call and by the time I returned Leo conveniently have gathered authorization to run credit on both my son and my wife. When I got back to the table I was livid. I told him that I specifically expressed that I wanted to discuss the price of the vehicle before moving forward with anything else. He looked dumbfounded and tried to deny it, my wife confirmed what I just stated. Anyhow after a few back and forth we have come to an agreement, my wife told him that she wanted the windshield replaced, to which he amazingly replied, after his introductory comments "our cars are are sold as is and we won't be fixing the windshield". How come a "prestigious" Chevrolet Dealership would be willing to sell a vehicle with faulty safety equipment? Needless to say, we walked out of the deal on those bases and ended up buying a better same brand vehicle from another local Chevrolet dealership in an adjacent county. Oh, by the way, I did researched the law and it is legal for them to sell cars with cracked windshields, but why put people's safety in jeopardy for a few bucks? Especially when it would tarnish their reputation. More
