First I will start by saying I have purchased 2 brand new vehicles from this dealership, and have generally appreciated the experience, but when I picked up my 23 Tacoma this past weekend and traded in my 21 vehicles from this dealership, and have generally appreciated the experience, but when I picked up my 23 Tacoma this past weekend and traded in my 21 Rav, that all changed. Problem 1: Dishonesty from GM with Trade I keep my vehicles meticulously clean and in trading in my Rav 4 was no exception, extensive professional detail job 2 days before trade in day,( exterior wax, seal, interior shampoo, detail, the works). I had a KBB instant offer from a neighboring dealer for my Rav, $31,500 which I presented to dealer. The sales manager low balled me at $26,500 saying they would not make any money at that KBB offer, so I had to essentially plea for $29,000. He sent me a long message stating that I had bought the vehicle new for $32,000 and that they were essentially losing money on my trade. Fast forward to 5 days later, there’s the Rav listed on the lot for $36,000. Problem 2: The new truck I was very excited to pick up our new 23 Tacoma, and I was clear in the months leading to this purchase that I wanted finance the lift kit, paint protection film at the day of purchase. I was told “of course!”, “no problem”, now the day comes to finance and I’m told, “we can’t do the lift kit”, “we can’t do the paint protection film”, so I miss the boat on financing these items. When I arrived at the service center later that week, the service manager says they could have done all of those things! The poor communication, follow through and sheer dishonesty from the general manager have ensured that I will not only not do business here again, but will absolutely not recommend any family or friends do business here either.
