So far I think the staff at Ferman Ford has been wonderful like a huge family very welcoming. Tom was a real pleasure to work with. We ordered directly from ford and he kept me informed every step of our order. He was quick to respond with any questions that came up. II continue to have bad service experiences with Ferman. I recently brought in my truck in for its regular maintenance check up. I made an 11:30 appointment to drop it off which I did. The service person told me it would be ready in a "couple of hours." Thus, given this information, I rearranged my day to be in the area and return in a "couple of hours," at 1:30. After returning and waiting for about 15 minutes I was then told that not only was the work not finished on the truck but it had not even started. Screw up number 1. Thus, my day's schedule is shot and I go home to wait for the call for when the job will be done which comes about and hour and a half after I was told it would be done. I drive back to the dealership and the service person asks me how I would be paying for the the service call. I had told her upfront that I had purchased a service contract when I bought the truck from Ferman and yet that either slipped her mind, she neglected to check my online records, or she thought I would be too stupid to know the service call was covered. Screw up number 2. I get a receipt from her and it shows that all of the check up items are in the green, i.e. nothing is wrong. I walk out the door and a Ferman employee asks me if he wants me to check my tires, says it will only take a few minutes, I say sure.,Two minutes later he shows me a print out that indicates three of my tires are in the "yellow" danger area and a fourth tire is in the "red" area and has dry rot. Wants to know if I want to buy new tires from Ferman. So now I have two conflicting pieces of information from two different Ferman employees: my service rep paper says my tires are fine, all in the green and the front door rep tells me I have some serious problems with my tires, which makes me start wondering if the service job was actually done on the truck, if the mechanic just jots down my tires are fine but they are not according to another Ferman employee. So now back inside to find out what is going on. After a big pow wow at the truck of multiple Ferman employees I am told that the second analysis of my tires was done with an out of tune analyzer, whatever that means, and my tires are fine. Screwup number 3. And the final insult, when I try to respond to Ford's online survey it refuses to accept my review which lead me to Ford's online chat support which is useless, neither process would allow me to ask someone get touch with me or provide feedback, feedback that Ford requested. Screw up number 4. Thus, if you are going to use Ferman , make sure upfront you get a firm estimate when the work will be done, make sure upfront everyone understands the payment process, and make sure they actually to the work. More
