I have been buying here since 1964! I love Golf Mill Ford, Mark G, Nick S, Joanne D, Anthony G, and the amazing mechanic, Danny Arzamo! I before purchased a Ford Maverick, but it didn't I love Golf Mill Ford, Mark G, Nick S, Joanne D, Anthony G, and the amazing mechanic, Danny Arzamo! I before purchased a Ford Maverick, but it didn't help out my Wife, so Mark helped me get out of it and into a Ford Ranger and it is amazing! The staff is amazing; Jimmy G keeps me entertained. I come in all the time for coffee and service! 5-star service for sure from everybody. Adam D also really has helped me get all I need for my truck! Come to Golf Mill Ford, nobody is as good as here! ⭐ 1/5 STARS — GOLF MILL FORD, NILES, IL — STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I purchased a brand-new 2025 Ford Escape with only 72 miles on it. Within just 2–3 days, the cameras and sensors began malfunctioning. RECOMMEND! I purchased a brand-new 2025 Ford Escape with only 72 miles on it. Within just 2–3 days, the cameras and sensors began malfunctioning. My vehicle was repeatedly taken back to the dealership for weeks at a time, yet the problems continued. Damian S., a manager at Golf Mill Ford, assured us during the purchase that the additional warranties and protection plans would provide full coverage and peace of mind. To this day, some service visits are missing from the repair history available to me. I was also told that the vehicle required a software update, which Ford headquarters did not confirm when I contacted them. After one service visit, my vehicle was returned with a dent in the body. The dealership initially denied responsibility, but after I requested that surveillance footage be reviewed, they offered to repair the damage. WITHIN JUST ONE YEAR, I EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS: malfunctioning cameras, sensors, Blind Spot Detection, Cross-Traffic Alert, TPMS warnings, rear differential and drivetrain issues, suspension concerns, a leaking sunroof, water entering the interior and rear taillight, passenger window and display malfunctions, Check Engine warnings, and a failed spark plug. MOST ALARMING — THE VEHICLE BRAKES ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY! While traveling approximately 60 mph with cruise control activated, my vehicle suddenly began braking until it came to a complete stop, without me pressing the brake pedal. This happened repeatedly. I was even stopped by state police several times because of dangerous situations on the road. This is a serious threat to my life, my family’s safety, and the safety of other drivers! During our trip to California, we experienced a tire failure in Colorado. Arlington Heights Ford had previously assured me that the tire was new, but I later discovered that it appeared to have been repaired instead. The warranty covered only one of the two tires that needed replacement. On our return trip through Oklahoma, the vehicle began shaking violently on the highway, the Check Engine light came on, and it had to be towed. A damaged spark plug was diagnosed, and we were told that the replacement would take 24–48 hours. We were stranded without transportation, and obtaining a rental vehicle was impossible. We had to pay out of pocket for towing, tires, hotels, and transportation. Our reimbursement claims were denied. I REPEATEDLY ASKED MANAGER DAMIAN S. FOR HELP. Even when we were stranded in Oklahoma, he told me that his hands were tied and there was nothing he could do. On multiple occasions, he made it clear that resolving these problems was my responsibility. This was especially disappointing considering his earlier promises regarding warranty protection. I was also informed that if my vehicle had to remain in Oklahoma, I would be responsible for arranging and paying for its transportation back to Illinois myself. After a year of repeated failures, undocumented service visits, dangerous driving incidents, and financial losses, I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. I have photographs, receipts, emails, and repair documentation supporting my experience. I AM REQUESTING A FORMAL FORD MANUFACTURER BUYBACK/REPURCHASE — NOT A TRADE-IN. I expect Ford Motor Company to take these serious safety concerns and the vehicle’s repeated failures seriously. Golf Mill Ford was happy to sell me a brand-new vehicle and additional warranties, but when I needed assistance, I was left to deal with everything on my own. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOLF MILL FORD! Customer service and accountability should not end once the sales contract is signed. Natalia D. More
