Everything was fine until the paperwork was signed and the sale complete on the afternoon of 2/8. After that, the experience took a nose dive. I realized the next morning that I had left an item in the the sale complete on the afternoon of 2/8. After that, the experience took a nose dive. I realized the next morning that I had left an item in the truck I had traded in. I called the next morning and spoke with someone about retrieving this item and she said that the truck had already been moved to another location but would see if someone could find it for me. I received a call back stating that they were unable to find it. I then asked if I could come over and take a look for myself since this item was in a dropdown compartment and they probably weren't looking in the right place. I was told to contact my salesman, who just happened to be off on 2/9. I sent him an email explaining the situation and to call me when he returned to work. I got NO response from him. Less than 18 hours passed from the time I drove off the lot with the new truck, from the time I realized my trade in hadn't been completely cleaned out. If this item was in fact no longer in the truck, then someone took it knowing full well that the previous owner would be looking for it. I'll take responsibility for accidentally leaving it in the truck I traded in, but I can't believe there isn't any kind of procedure for when items are found in vehicles, especially when the previous owner is actively trying to get it back. I've bought vehicles from dealerships in the past that bent over backwards before, during and AFTER the sale. You got what you wanted out of me and that was my business. Guess I found out the hard way how well your post-sale customer service is. I won't be back. More
