It was almost 80 years ago when, Karl Knauz the father of the current chairman, Bill Knauz, created the dealership that would bear his name for generations to come. Karl Knauz after years of being a chauffeur opened a gas station in Lake Forest. Did he imagine that this modest beginning would come to be one of the most recognized dealerships in the country. The franchises they have now, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, MINI, Land Rover, Hyundai, smart have put their trust in the Knauz family, (with Mercedes-Benz going all the way back to 1959). They have weathered the good times and the bad, and done so by taking care of customer's using 'The Golden Rule".

Upon speaking with the management involved, we determined that the error was due to miscommunication, as our standard operating procedure is a $2,000 deposit. Why do I need to call the dealership to ask why this happened and look for an answer. All I am asking for is for any one from management to call me and explain how this could of happened. Not a sole has called me to explain or to apologize. They expect me to call them. This is pure arrogance, no one cares enough to call and explain the situation. Again, realize this whole thing could of been resolved if someone had called to tell me that they needed $2,000 for a deposit. Instead they assumed they had the right to take another $1,000 off my card with no phone calls to alert me, just sent an email after the fact with no real explanation. Still, they refuse to call and apologize they expect me to call. Pure arrogance and a no give a darn about the client attitude. I can only imagine the type of service they provide after the car is sold. Hey Bob how about showing some leadership as a manager and call me to discuss this situation since the blame is on your side rather than me having to chase you down. Thank you.

You are incorrect no one from management called me last night or today. Though Bob told me last night that his manager was going to call me. In fact other than receiving an email that the credit was applied to my credit card no one has reached out to me. I have had to do all the reaching out. This is such a simple issue that never should have reached this point. We all own phones why can't someone at Knauz use one to call me?
