OUR HISTORY
Walt DeBoer founded Lithia Motors in 1946 as a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge dealership in Ashland, Oregon. Following Walt’s death in 1968, Walt’s son Sid along with Dick Heimann, grew the business to include 5 stores and 19 franchises in Southern Oregon. In December 1996, this collection of dealerships was transformed into Lithia Motors, Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE stock symbol-LAD). We envisioned a company that would continuously grow, provide great customer service, and opportunities for employees.
TODAY
Lithia is one of America’s largest automotive retailers featuring most domestic and import franchises. Our stores serve urban and rural populations throughout the Western and Midwest United States.
We are focused on providing customers with an honest and simpler buying and service experience. We are giving customers straightforward information so that they can make confident decisions.
We believe that our local communities are our lifeblood. In addition to the employment opportunities we provide in each of our neighborhoods, we also provide contributions to charitable organizations that serve our families, friends, and customers.

Holly Jensen is amazing! I went in hoping to get into something newer and bigger in my budget and Holly did everything she could to get me into something that day! I absolutely love my Hyundai and will r something newer and bigger in my budget and Holly did everything she could to get me into something that day! I absolutely love my Hyundai and will recommend anyone looking to get into a new car to Holly at Lithia Hyundai! Bryan Ogg also helped me through the paperwork process and kept it short and sweet and filled with laughs! I’m not a big fan of the process of getting a new car I can’t stand when they try to scare you into it saying your car will die or keep giving you prices way over your budget, with Holly Jensen she personally doesn’t do any of that! Cherae and Joe are awesome. They make things easy for me, no matter how much I try to go buy elsewhere, I just keep coming back because of them. Lance in the service department by far is the best service wri no matter how much I try to go buy elsewhere, I just keep coming back because of them. Lance in the service department by far is the best service writer there. I will only deal with these 3 because of how they bend over backwards to make me happy! Great job guys!! More

Amazing Service There is nothing better than top notch service. I was looking for a car for my 16 year old and a friend recommended Hyundai Reno and touted the treme There is nothing better than top notch service. Seemingly trivial issue (elevated misfirings in 1y old ionic hybrid plugin gas engine) took several days to resolve, however, during which I was out of a car. Person test-driving/diagnosing it seemingly didn't know the vehicle very well and drove mostly on battery (which was almost full when I brought the car in and almost empty when I got it back). More
