I was in the market for to build a new AMG G63. I emailed the dealer to ask if they would sell out-of-state. Did not get a response. Luigi from sales contacts me a few days after and gives me the d emailed the dealer to ask if they would sell out-of-state. Did not get a response. Luigi from sales contacts me a few days after and gives me the details for the proposed deal. I agreed, provided the documents they requested and I filled out a credit application for MB Financial, as they say this is required. I'm thinking everything is great and moving along smoothly. However, a couple of days after, Luigi emails me back and says the deal is now changed and that there is an additional $50k markup because I am out-of-state. I decline the new deal immediately but MB Financial still proceeds to performs a hard inquiry on my credit report. They did not tell MB Financial to halt the credit check. Out of all the dealers I have contacted and submitted a build to, Mercedes-Benz of Edison is the only one that changed the deal last minute and proceed to have my credit pulled. Luigi was fine to work with but why did they not inform me of the final deal before they pulled my credit? Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. Please be aware! More
