I found several trucks, but they were priced out of the should-cost range. Then I saw a red beauty at Mike Murphy Ford. I liked the miles, and the price was right where it should be based on the regional market conditions. The only problem was I live 150 miles away in Swansea IL. I got on the phone and met salesperson Dave Brekke. I told him what I planned to do if we could work a deal. I even suggested buying the truck and renting a car hauler from U-Haul to bring my current car back down south. Dave was not hearing it, Mike Murphy Ford actually had drivers deliver the car to me! The transaction was easy, the car was priced right, and there was no need for the antics or annoyance of drawn out negotiation. Flat out the best car buying experience I’ve had in a very long time.
