There are a number of aspects that contribute to a payment, and negative equity is absolutely one of them. Figure that you will pay about $20 per every thousand dollars financed. That means that $140.00 of your payment is for the Sorento negative equity, or your "under" which you referenced. The rest of the payment on is on the Forte technically... Here are the positives...1. You have a brand new vehicle 2. It is under full warranty 3. It was a good enough deal that the bank was willing to finance your negative equity on another vehicle. Finance institutions won't let you finance more that 100-150% of the vehicle's assumed value. Each bank's rules vary. Translation =.YOU got a GREAT deal on a Forte. We realize that getting home and looking over the paperwork can be confusing.
