So I’m gonna start with the fact that I’m very surprised I ended up writing this review (and that’s why I gave 2 stars and not 1).. Since I bought my 2018 X6M to this moment (I’m still the original owner I ended up writing this review (and that’s why I gave 2 stars and not 1).. Since I bought my 2018 X6M to this moment (I’m still the original owner) I didn’t have any complaint and I was very happy.. So my story starts at my last visit at the dealer 43k miles) before the factory warranty expires.. I went through the stuff I needed to be fixed (small stuff) but there was one thing that wasn’t small at all.. I had a knocking sound when shifting gears while pressing slightly the gas (especially in traffic..).. So I mentioned it to the service advisor and I told him I’m very concerned about it because there is no light on.. just the sound.. other than that the car drives good.. So after they checked the car the service advisor told me that the mechanic checked it and THE CAR IS OK! He also mentioned that “the car is driving normally and if it was a problem a light would light on.. and if there is no light there is nothing they can fix even if they want to..” but they changed the TRANSMISSION fluid (they diagnosed it’s a transmission issue) So I left unhappy with the answer I got but they are the experts.. I only asked to still put the symptoms on the papers so I’ll have a record of it in case something happens.. Long story short I took my car to another BMW specialist at 60k miles (only 10k above warranty!) with the same symptoms (which never went away) and still NO LIGHT ON and he told me there is a problem with the TRANSFER CASE (6.5k part only!) and he saw it right away when he put the car on the lift.. So I went back to rally to pull the records and talk to them, explaining them the mechanic made a diagnosis mistake and I wanted them to take responsibility for their mistake.. They test drove the car and confirmed the transfer case is not functioning properly but they didn’t want to fix it even though car it’s exactly the same symptoms, they know that back at 43k miles they never catch any issue with the transfer case and yet Chris, the manager told me “nicely” that the car is out of warranty now and basically it’s my fault I believed his staff and never came back for the same issue (so now I’m supposed to go and get second opinion like I have the time and energy for that).. What a shame.. This is not how you treat a costumer let alone a costumer who spent 6 figures on a car and soon will buy a new one again.. What a shame Rally BMW.. I didn’t expect this from you.. I also filed a complaint to US BMW if there is any update I will update the review (If Rally/Chris will not take accountability for their mechanic mistake I will still update but won’t change the stars rating) More
