Good relationships only go as far as a $20 item The salesperson I worked with, Jess Smith, did a great job. I came in looking for a truck I found online - and even though I was at the wrong location The salesperson I worked with, Jess Smith, did a great job. I came in looking for a truck I found online - and even though I was at the wrong location, she took the time to run me up to the other place. Once I realized the vehicle was not what I was looking for, Jess took the initiative to find what I WAS interested in. She was very responsive and accessible during the negotiations, and we got the deal done at the price I wanted to pay. The used car manager was a pretty nice guy and spoke of wanting to "build relationships and create a customer for life." I gladly bought the vehicle, a nicely used F-150, and I was quite pleased until about 2 weeks later. I noticed a small plastic molding at the end of the running board was loose. This was not damaged by me, so I went back to 5-Star to ask if they would fix it, or at least give me the part at no charge. Upon Jess's request for this (on my behalf), they refused. Stating that the part was not covered -- and that it had been "a few weeks since I bought it... A FEW WEEKS! This part is a $22 item. And though the vehicle was used, it was both Certified Pre-Owned, and still had original warranty time and miles remaining. PLUS, I purchased extended coverage, While I was very pleased with the deal I got on the truck, I would have thought they would have extended a little extra consideration to fix this tiny flaw. This makes me wonder what the warranty DOES cover, if not a small bit of plastic. To be fair, they did knock $4 bucks off the price of the molding, and I guess it's okay that I'll need to do the fix myself. But I'm sorry, I'm just confused why they would profess to wanting to create a long-term customer relationship and then turn their back on me over a $20 item. Unfortunate - and puzzling. This should not be considered a reflection of the effort Jess Smith provided in helping me find the right vehicle. And I certainly hope it was not a call made by the manager I met and worked with. Sure, this is a small thing - but small things can be important when you're spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle. ***Addendum: After posting this review, (not sure if it had any influence, but...) I was contacted by the Dennis the manager and he told me I was not supposed to have been charged for the part. I can certainly understand how miscommunications can happen. This significantly restores my confidence in Sam Pack's 5-Star Carrollton dealership. And I've adjusted my ratings accordingly. Of course, I'm hoping "miscommunications" like this do not occur more often in the future. :) More

This dealership was the first stop on my list and I was completely blown away. From the cleanliness of the store to the friendliness of all the employees, the environment just blew me away. I ended up getting help with Melanie Lucero and it was a very pleasant experience. Throughout the whole process she seemed to genuinely care about my wants/needs and I never once felt pressured into anything that I wasn't comfortable with which is a huge plus for me. I was impressed with her knowledge of all the different vehicles that I asked about too. Overall it was a great experience and I'll definitely recommend Melanie and Five Star Ford to my family and friends! More

Quick, easy, painless, & no pressure weeks ago I walked into the dealership, talked to the first man I saw Mike Munden tell him that I'm wanting to learn more about the Ford pickup. He ho weeks ago I walked into the dealership, talked to the first man I saw Mike Munden tell him that I'm wanting to learn more about the Ford pickup. He hooked me up with Reuben Krause. Reuben persisted in flooding me with info about the new Ford pickups the differences between all the engines and all the trim packages it was very overwhelming. Halfway through our visit I felt no pressure & he wad very easy to talk to and very down-to-earth . He gave me websites and YouTube videos and paper literature to take home. We communicated via text and phone calls for the next week or so at all hours of the night and he was answering all my questions and concerns. We found the truck that I was interested in and in a matter of a half a day or so management -Mike Munden calls me and let me know that he had the vehicle I could come in and take a look at it at anytime at my leisure. I found the truck that I wanted on 5-Stars website, and soon went to the dealership and introduced to Jess. She quickly found the truck; brought it up front for a quick test drive, and I decided to purchase it. Jess guided me professionally, and quickly through the rest of the buying experience, and I was soon on to "life," in my new truck.
