We called ahead to have a hitch installed on our leased Rav 4. We also wanted to take it in to have the recent recall taken care of. They said they could do both at the same time. They said the part would Rav 4. We also wanted to take it in to have the recent recall taken care of. They said they could do both at the same time. They said the part would be there on Tuesday. So we made an appt on Tuesday at 10. At the drop off at 10 I confirmed the reason for our visit (hitch and recall) and they confirmed my phone number and my husbands. We don't hear anything from them all day. And at the end of the day we leave several messages and no response. I call again in the morning. Finally someone calls me back maybe around 10:30 and says they have a question about the part we want installed. Come to find out they did not work on the recall or install the part, because I guess the part never arrived. (They still could have done the recall and called us!) They said they tried to call us, but there were no missed calls on either of our phones. We lease a car and have brought it in before, surely we are in the system. Long story short it takes them another day and a half to complete the work. We got our car back late Friday. The lack of communication, and care, or taking any responsibility was so unprofessional. We will definitely reconsider our other options before leasing with Santa Cruz Toyota again. More
