After my lease ended, I completed a buyout through my credit union (not through the dealership). During that process, I discovered that multiple transaction documents provided to me throughout both the l credit union (not through the dealership). During that process, I discovered that multiple transaction documents provided to me throughout both the lease and buyout contained inconsistent figures. These inconsistencies were not limited to the final Bill of Sale. They extended to the original lease documentation, including differences in the agreed vehicle value and gross capitalized cost. For example, the agreed-upon vehicle price was approximately $45,999; however, the lease reflects a higher vehicle value and gross capitalized cost (approximately $47,891.70 / $48,536.70), without a clear explanation of how those figures were derived. At lease inception, I provided approximately $8,000 out of pocket. However, the lease documentation reflects approximately $8,434.83 as “rebates/non-cash credits,” while no cash payment is reflected. This raises concerns regarding how my upfront payment was categorized and applied within the transaction. In addition, certain add-on products were included and presented to me as required at the time. Based on my later review, it was not clear that these items were optional, nor how they impacted the overall pricing and lease structure. During the buyout process, I was provided with multiple versions of Bills of Sale showing different purchase amounts. When I requested corrected and consistent documentation, I was told a refund check would be issued rather than receiving revised paperwork that clearly reconciled the discrepancies. Because of these ongoing documentation concerns, I filed complaints with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the New York DMV Dealer Compliance Unit, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Update (March 2026): This matter has now gone through the New York State Attorney General’s mediation process. The dealership submitted a response; however, their explanation focused only on a $65 discrepancy on a revised bill of sale and did not address the broader concerns outlined above. While a refund was issued, the underlying inconsistencies remain unaddressed. (The check has not been cashed and is being retained as part of my records.) As of this update, the matter remains unresolved. I reserve all rights to pursue further remedies if necessary. Based on my experience, I encourage any consumer to carefully review all lease and purchase documentation, including vehicle pricing, how upfront payments are applied, and to ensure that all figures are consistent across documents. Do NOT buy car or get it serviced here. Not honest and transparent. I’ve never been so disappointed with how I was treated. Even after a horrific experience buying a bronco I had the car se Not honest and transparent. I’ve never been so disappointed with how I was treated. Even after a horrific experience buying a bronco I had the car serviced at dealership ONLY because they snuck a service contract into the sale of the vehicle. Be very careful! They are SNEAKY and DISHONEST. When I went to get car serviced they said I only was responsible for the vehicle inspection and the oil change was covered but when they called to say, the car is ready, they said that it was not covered and I was responsible for paying. Stay far away from this place!!!! Over $100 paid for just an oil change and the car wasn’t even washed as they falsely advertised!!! More
