On June 4 I went to Sport Mazda, as instructed by my lease finance company, to complete a lease buyout. On arrival I explained why I was there, but Sport Mazda proceeded to try to sell me my leased vehi lease finance company, to complete a lease buyout. On arrival I explained why I was there, but Sport Mazda proceeded to try to sell me my leased vehicle, still mine since the lease hadn’t expired yet. They tried to charge me for pre-delivery inspection and a total of $1,800 in fees that were not included in the lease contract, or part of a lease buyout. To be clear, the dealership was just supposed to collect the contracted lease buyout payment but instead tried to couch the transaction as a sale and rip me off for unearned fees, all because Florida is not a “direct purchase” state. Instead of being fair, Sport Mazda tried to take advantage and as a result they lost my business forever. I will NEVER set foot in any of their dealerships again. I recommend you be super careful if you choose to deal with Sport Mazda. More
