I went into my car search today just planning on looking but in hopes that I would find something. After visiting a few places we stopped here, and I’m glad we did. Dale, was very welcoming, patient with any questions or explanations I had or needed, and honest. Dale and other staff members there like Chris both worked with me and made sure I wasn’t leaving confused or uneasy. They made my first car purchase as stressLESS as possible and never pressured me into feeling like I had to get it urgently. I would highly recommend this dealership, but especially Dale. In my personal opinion/experience if your vehicle sale journey brings you here…keep on driving. My firsthand account with a KBB Instant Cash Offer was not on par with their “our customer’s experience should never be met, they should always be exceeded” tag line. That’s a pretty lofty statement and if you say something like that you better mean it. To me that statement talks about a customer’s perception of the interaction rather than the dealer rationalizing/interpreting to the customer the actual outcome (which happened here). Now, I’m not naïve on the auto dealer process and I fully understand some customers are unreasonable, but I don’t believe that’s the case here. When you point blank tell a customer that Fair Retail is this to persuade a lower asking price to only (in less than 48 hours) turn around and list (well above that) for a potential sizable profit…is that exceeding my experience? I get it, you’re in the business to make money, but that type of thing tends to leave a person feeling exceeded (and not in the way your motto intends it). The final facts are these…I did freely signed the dotted line, I did make profit, I did also deliver easy instant profit to the dealer (which was later described to me as less than that…I have the original listing saying else wise), and I did (in hindsight) have money left on the table after my experience. Oh well, such is life and these things tend to have a way of working themselves back around. More
