We found a great deal on a 2024 Volvo XC90! Jimmy treated us like family. He actually sat in the car and walked my wife through the Volvo app so it would all be set up and ready to go! These folks are car enthusiasts! We ended up purchasing an extended warranty for the batter and powertrain (T8 plug in hybrid), which seemed logical, but a bit frustrating and expensive for a new vehicle. My Tesla Model 3 purchase was much more streamlined and without additional fees/warranties, but we felt we needed one gas powered vehicle for road trips, etc. And gas powered vehicles seem to break down. Our last vehicle was a Honda Pilot and it left us stranded 3 times over 150,000 miles of driving (mostly the alternator). Hopefully this Volvo will take are of my wife and kids for many years. My wife LOVES this XC90!

Outstanding Customer Service Experience at McGrath of Barrington Mark in the service department was an absolute blessing. After a terrible experience at the Volvo of Lisle’s service department, Mark listened attentively to my concerns and immediately scheduled me for same day service at his location. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless. I was warmly greeted, my car was promptly taken into the shop, and a loaner vehicle was ready and waiting. Within just 90 minutes, I received a follow-up text from Mark with the results of the diagnostic—far quicker than the 48 hours it took Volvo of Lisle to even identify the issue. The needed part was already on order, and throughout the process, Mark maintained excellent communication, responding quickly to all of my text inquiries. Even though McGrath of Barrington is over 25 miles from my home in Wheaton, I will gladly return for future service. They truly understand what customer service is all about.

Sales at this dealership sucks. They are so unresponsive and unhelpful and their prices suck. They have some of the highest prices and aren't negotiable one bit. They don't even bother trying to accommodate you one bit. The general manager sends an email to you and when you respond he doesn't even bother responding to your questions. Can't imagine how many sales they have lost. I bought two previous vehicles from Patrick dealers but never again.

Akrim A. deserves a great dept of gratitude from me. I had what seemed like a very minor condition materialize with my Jaguar the night before I had a very long drive for a client meeting. Akrim's care revealed an unrelated but extremely dangerous condition with one of my tyres. He insisted I leave the vehicle as he did not think it was safe for me. I would never have noticed this condition on my own. I had no reason to check. Without Akrim's genuine concern for me personally, my long drive could have ended very badly. Instead, I was driving a very nice and very safe vehicle provided for me as a courtesy at Akrim's insistence. Akrim and everyone at Howard Orloff, you've been great to me for 26 years!!!! Interestingly, I did not end-up purchasing a vehicle from McLaughlin, as I live out of state and did not need to factor-in service, customer orientation, friendliness, trustworthiness, etc. I will end up servicing my vehicle locally here in Arizona. However, my experience with Brian Cox was nothing short of outstanding. As a sales leader myself, I am hyper-critical of the prototypical "salesy" car salesman. My experience with Brian was the opposite. He worked to be a trusted advisor, strove to ensure I had everything I needed to make an intelligent decision, and went the extra mile to ensure my experience with Volvos in general was top-notch. Brian is the kind of salesman I'd want to represent my company - in it for the customer rather than to pad his own pockets. He's just a good human being. Undoubtedly, he will (or likely already does) have an army of loyal customers who trust his advice and enjoy his friendly personality. Thank you, Brian. If I ever move within 100 miles of Moline, I guarantee I'll buy a vehicle at McLaughlin and join that army.

Left with more problems than I came in with - unhappynow

Came in with urgent airbag message and left with urgent airbag message, urgent ABS message, wipers that wont turn off (they just pulled the fuse and left it in the fuse box), and turn signals that don't work. All this is the result of them just doing a diagnostic scan. I can go back and have them look at it again for a minimum of $600 - no guarantees on what the final figure will be.
