I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Fields and it started having problems right away. It was partially my fault for not going to them within the first week of owning the vehicle, but I was relying on their representation that the vehicle had passed a 140+ point inspection and was in great condition. It had several issues, but overtime they began to add up. Within a few months, I had to replace both front axles, among other things, which totalled to about 40% of the total vehicle value. I called several times, each time they told me a manager would call me back, but they have never reached out.

I am very satisfied with the car and customer service I have received at this location. Very impressed. I have visited another Volvo dealer in Chicago land area and I was very very disappointed. Angel, my sales person took his time, followed up with me, did a great job explaining and answering my questions. It was a pleasure working with someone that knows so much about cars. Once again I am very satisfied and I would highly recommend Volvo of Orland Park.
TRIED TO SEEL A DAMAGED CAR - MKR
There staff was nice enough. I was looking at a White xc40. No accidents reported via car fax on the dealer’s description. One owner. Price was right. Received an offer by email with negotiating room. I drove there from Indiana.
I get there for a test drive and there is a MASSIVE shudder under hard braking. The sales guy tells me “it’s just a high spot on the brakes.” (What??) And that “it’s common and easy to fix.” (Wait. Why would I buy a car from you that has a brake issue AND needs immediate attention?)
The service manager and sales guy both kept saying that it was still under warranty. I think they expected that because I had driven 2 hours to get there, I’d buy the car no matter what. WRONG. I asked for a full car fax. True—no accidents reported. HOWEVER, there was “damage” reported with suggestion that the car be checked but a mechanic. The sales guy had told me it was a Volvo-certified car. (It wasn’t.).
Short version: Dealer tried to sell me a car that needed serious brake work OR that had frame or front end damage. Worse, the dealer misrepresented the car online.
Sales guy told me: “nobody drives the cars this hard on a test drive.” (I was at 40 mpg and hit the brakes.) I told him “of course they do. If a deer jumps in front of the car and your kid is in the back seat, you need to know if the car will stop without issue. This one won’t.” He was quiet after that.
Don’t buy from this dealer. Any dealership that will put a car like that on the lot and have no reason for it, no solution, is to be avoided. I don’t care how many pretty $150,000 Mercedes they have in the showroom.

Came in with urgent airbag message and left with urgent airbag message, urgent ABS message, wipers that wont turn off (they just pulled the fuse and left it in the fuse box), and turn signals that don't work. All this is the result of them just doing a diagnostic scan. I can go back and have them look at it again for a minimum of $600 - no guarantees on what the final figure will be.

Stopped by McLaughlin on our way to dinner, 1st time at the dealership. Kris Hutton met us as I was interested In driving the new Volvo XC40. At no time did we feel rushed or hurried as we arrived at 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Kris was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We then met with Josh to review cost as I was surprised that I liked the new XC40 more than the Audi Q3 I had driven previously. We asked Kris to call us back on Monday morning which he did as soon as he arrived in the office. We purchased the car over the phone. The dealership was extremely easy to work with in picking up our vehicle when it was convenient for us as we live an hour away. Joe Wilson in finance was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions in a seamless process. Kris Hutton was very informative in setting up our new car and following up after we were home. We are looking forward to working with our new dealership at McLaughlin Motors.
