I want to start by saying the salesperson I worked with was great — helpful, responsive, and easy to talk to. This review is not a reflection of him. Before coming in, I called ahead and was told the dealership was slow and that I would be taken care of. Since the dealership is right down the road for me, I decided to stop in and take a look at a few vehicles. I have been test driving a number of vehicles recently, and I made my situation clear from the beginning. Throughout my visits, I explained multiple times where I was in the buying process, and I was still encouraged to come in. The team was very accommodating at first, which I genuinely appreciated, and I made a point to thank them and acknowledge my situation. I was able to test drive a couple of vehicles and everything was going well. However, when I was about to look at another vehicle, a sales manager pulled my salesperson away to assist a different customer who had just arrived to purchase. I completely understand prioritizing a sale, but what didn’t sit right was that no one else stepped in to continue helping me. When I asked if someone else or the manager could assist, I was told they were too busy and asked to come back another day. That experience was disappointing, especially after calling ahead, being transparent about my situation, and already spending time at the dealership. It felt like once I wasn’t an immediate sale, I was no longer a priority. What concerned me even more was that, in their public response to my review, my personal situation was referenced — something I had only shared in a private conversation. I did not feel that was appropriate. Overall, I understand how busy dealerships can be, but the lack of continuity in service and the handling of personal information led me to take my business elsewhere.

My siblings and I have been dealing with this dealership since Last September (2023) regarding my dad‘s 2021 F150 pick up. It was a simple recall that with the truck was taken up there for. In order to get an appointment, at least 6 to 8 phone calls were placed and no return calls made. When we finally did reach them, they told us all the parts were there, and they could take care of the issue as we live four hours away that day. We live 4 hours away and when we arrived, they indicated that the work would be done in about a half a day. Upon returning 4 hours later the truck was still not completed and eventually took the truck back home as they could not figure out how to fix the recall. After several more phone calls and no response from anyone at the dealership, we finally were able to get the truck back in in November. Again, they were unable to perform the recall getting all sorts of excuses. We were then told they would order what was needed, and would have them in a couple of weeks. This brought us into mid December at which point we got the story of holidays and shipping issues and that the parts would not be in until after the first of the year. They did do some smaller recalls while they did have the vehicle in November when they came to us to get the vehicle as we were no longer willing to drive four hours round-trip And then have nothing done. Through the winter we continue to try to contact them to know avail and we’re finally able to reach them in mid March and schedule an appointment for April 15. When we arrive that day we were informed that we were not on the schedule. This has been a complete and total fiasco. I would never purchase anything from this dealership.

Wood City Motors had my Ford 2019 F-350 for more than 3 months trying to figure out why it wouldn’t regen. Originally the turbo went out while I was near Cloquet on 35w south. Because I live in Elk River, the manager, Andrew, told me to rent a car at Enterprise, keep my receipts, and they would reimburse me when my repairs were finished. The time dragged on. Wood City finally figured out what the problem was and I got my truck back after significant expense. Just one problem. I submitted my rental receipts in the neighborhood of $4,000 and they are refusing to pay. The manager gave me his word and has gone back on it trying to kick me back to Ford customer service. This dealership cannot be trusted. I would not recommend doing business with them. I am prepared to take legal action as necessary. Greg Pagh
