We came into Gene Steffy after finding a car online similar to one from another local dealer here in Norfolk. Inquired via the website and received a text sale price offer in the car. Scheduled a test drive for later that day. After the test drive we sat down to agree on a price. Brandon was patient and answered any questions we had. There was no pushing or games through out the whole process. We would definitely buy from them again!

I took my tire in yesterday 12/26/17 as it was flat. They told me it was not repairable as the side wall had a tear in it and it would cost $242.30 to replace. I took the tire and found a cheaper tire at All Star Tires in Council Bluffs. I dropped my car off this morning and its already done and All Star tires was nice enough to check the tire and noticed that it was patchable and its costing me $18.79. Thank god for honest people and I can tell you All Star tire will be getting my business from now on. Once my lease is up on this Dodge Journey I can assure you I will NEVER buy or LEASE another vehicle from Baxter again! I had bought vehicles from them in the past and I will no longer be doing business with dishonest people. So way to go Baxter for losing not just my business but my family's business as we have all bought vehicles from you.

I purchased a pre owned F150 from this dealership. I live 3 hours away and found the vehicle online. The salesperson failed to disclose serveral issues with it before I traveled there. There was a prominent rust spot on the front edge of the door that was not identifed in pictures and the general condition wasn't as advertised. My culpability began when I decided to purchase the truck anyway. Unfortunately, there was a rear differential leak that was covered up that I discovered shortly after purchase and then a cooling system leak that most likely had been there as well. I also discovered a tear in the driver seat that had been put together with some light thread that I didn't catch during my inspection which opened up and I had to repair. In addition, there was also a missing latch on the center console. The latch cannot be replaced alone; an entire new console must be ordered for about $250. After 2 months, I have contacted the dealer and told them about the many issues and expressed a desire to trade the vehicle back in (after all, I had now paid for all the fixes). They were happy to make me an offer for a trade $4K less than what I paid, exclusive of all the pepairs I'd already made (as well as another round of document fees). I made a hasty decision purchasing this truck, but my pain should be your gain. Unless you are a mechanic or have an independent mechanic inspect your potential purchase, I would avoid buying a used vehicle from this dealership at all costs. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the epiomy of a crooked dealer.

We bought our third car from this dealership about four months ago. Our salesman was Carl and we had a great experience. I waited a bit to write a review to see how the after purchase experience panned our. Carl is the only salesman who actually followed up with me a couple times after the purchase to make sure everything was still good with the car. Our service experience has been great. Mike is our service rep and has always gone out of his way to provide loaner cars when needed and the extra mike to make sure everything is completed as needed. I would recommend both Carl for sales and Mike for service.
Poor communication and problem solving - kcspotless
10 hours from our home, pulling a 17,000 lb load with our horses, in our nearly-new Ram 3500 broke down on us about 80 miles south of Chadron, and we had it towed to the Chadron Dodge location. The truck sat for two days at their location before the service department met our request to have the diagnostics run so we would know what error codes were showing. We were patient, up until about week 2, even though the service dept had poor communication - unwilling to provide us updates on our truck that had been with them for almost three weeks.
Almost three weeks after the truck arrived at Chadron Dodge, I shared the error codes with a local Ram service tech near my hometown in Des Moines, IA. The tech said it could only be two things, one of those being the engine control module. The very next day I spoke with Greg at Chadron. He said they had figured out what was wrong with the truck, and that it needed the exact part that the tech from Des Moines had told me (engine control module). So, here I have one tech that I talked with for 10 minutes, that had not ever seen the truck, and tells me what the problem is. And I have another tech/service team that it takes almost three weeks to figure it out. So frustrating!
We also discovered the notes that had been shared between the Tech at Chadron Dodge and the Chrysler engineers - very poor and appeared that the tech was doing very little to get the truck fixed in a reasonable time. To us, 15 working days, with the truck in the possession was an unacceptable amount of time for the issue to be corrected.

Found a car on their website ( I live a long way from the dealership ), and responded to their "get your e-price" solicitation on the web page. I had to give them my name and contact information to ask a question about the e-price and their doc fees.
They promptly responded about their doc fee but gave no info about my e-price. I sent them another email and when they responded, the "e-price" was the same price as posted on their website originally..
So the e-price enticement is just a scam to get my contact information...not to offer me a better price..
Too bad some of these car sellers are dinosaurs who don't realize the world has changed. The customer now has access to dealers all across America, not just down the street. Cars can be sold over the internet and delivered to your doorstep.
If I am going do drive several hours to look at / buy a car, they have one shot at getting my business. IF they play games with me over the internet at the start, how can feel they will be honest with me when they know I have invested my time to drive many miles and hours to their dealership?
There are many other choices for dealerships....pick one who doesn't play games.

The price was good and the service was great, kind of "old school" where a handshake actually means something. I talked to Tony on the phone many times and he sent me pics and things were better than described, how often does that happen! If they treat you this good with an old truck I can't imagine how good it would be with a new one! I will be back. THANKS!
