It is a stressful experience buying a new car. However, all concerns & questions were answered openly and I believe honestly. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant, and professional. I did not feel pushed or pressured in anyway. Chad Gossett was so great in educating us on every aspect of the car. I can and will recommend Carlton Motorcars to friends and family. BIG shout out to the service department at Baker. We live in Hilton Head but traveled to Charleston for my wife's foot surgery. After the surgery, we decided to make the 2 hour trip back home. My wife was laying in the back of our GLS 450 SUV on a mattress with her foot elevated when the air suspension system went out. That meant the back of the car was sitting almost on the wheels and every bump rocked the car, My wife was in pain every time, even with pain meds and there was no way we would make it home. So we drove 2 miles (at 5mph) to Baker where we met the service manager Pierre. He immediately recognized this was an emergency situation and put his service tech Billy right on it. Within 20 minutes with my wife still in the back of the car, Billy had diagnosed the problem (bad compressor) and, amazingly, they had one in stock. An hour later the car was fixed BUT my wife, who couldn't walk, needed a restroom before the 2 hour drive. Pierre drove us to his main showroom and grabbed an office chair with wheels. I picked up my wife and, with Pierre's assistance, wheeled her to the rest room. THIS is service...going above and beyond for a customer. My wife and I can't thank them enough and we will never forget Pierre, Billy and our experience at Baker Mercedes.

On Saturday, October 12th my GLK 350 light came on displaying EBD Inoperative See Operator’s Manual. I scheduled an appt online with Mercedes of Florence for Monday October 14, 2024 at 10:30am. When I arrived, Jay was nice and checked me in and told me to have a seat while they serviced my car. I sat in the waiting area for approximately 4 hours and Jay came out about 2:00 pm to inform me they could not identify the problem and thought maybe I was in a flood, absolutely false, my car was in my garage and there was no rain much less a flood. It seemed to be warm in the waiting area and was told by Jay that “oh yeah the air conditioner’s not working”. There was a kind, attractive and tall lady that came to me and said, would you like to move to another waiting area because it is warm in here with the air conditioner not working, so I moved to another waiting area. Jay Finally came to where I was relocated and said, they found the problem, but we are not able to repair it because the part that is needed is not in stock, so we have to order it and it would be estimate cost $2,000.00 plus and you would have to prepay today so we can order it. I stated “it is 3:00pm and I have been here on a scheduled appt since 10:30am (Arrived at 10:00am) you are unable to fix the problem, I have to travel back home to Sumter SC with the light still displayed indicating that there is a problem, and you inform me, we need you to prepay for the part before we can order it and then, when it comes, we will contact you.” I graciously did. Well today is Sunday November 3, 2024 and I have been cautiously driving my car back and forth to work until this morning, I was going to church and it would not start then the lights went out and the car would not start. Here it is the beginning of the 4th week, I have not received a call or any communication or any update from Jay as to the arrival of the part I prepaid for and my car is not starting or operable. I have to work in the morning, and I am so stressed!
