My husband and I would highly recommend Smith South Plains for purchasing a vehicle and getting is serviced! My Escape needed a new part and Mr. Campbell was very thorough in exaplining what the issue was and how much it would cost. The part had to be ordered and was done so in a timely manner. Also, I was kept informed the entire process. Furthermore, my husband needed a used vehicle with decent mileage and a few other necessities (4x4, white, & cloth interior.) Mr. Sykora was quick, professional and efficient in guiding us to the right pickup. The truck met all our needs and the deal was done in a matter of days. We will use them in the future!

To make a long story short, the used Lincoln I bought from Boggus(which still has 2 years bumper-to-bumper warranty left) back in October needed over $8000 in parts and labor recently. I dealt with Lane in service and he was right on it in making sure things got taken care of quickly.

I have purchased 5 new Ford pickups throughout my driving history. 2 of those new trucks were purchased at Bob Tomes. unfortunately their sales staff and service staff have gotten really bad over the last couple of years. The management at Bob Tomes is not interested in making the situation better and in most cases wont even call back. I leased my last truck with Coach and was completely lied to during the process. They told me many things that weren't true about the leasing process which put me in a bad situation at lease end. bob Tomes Ford and their staff is the reason I now drive a brand new Tundra and will never buy another Ford. It is unfortunate because I genuinely liked Ford products but I refuse to give them one more penny of my hard earned cash.

I had a very good buying experience with Joe Israel at Jim Bass Ford. He was very informative and able to answer all of my questions. He was nice and professional and not pushy in any way. He was always asking what else could he do for me or answer another question. He was great explaining the differences in the vehicles I was looking at and/or pointed out. On November 23, 2018 we went to Griffith Ford looking for info on a new car. We met Adam Rizzo and Colby Kissinger, two very knowledgeable sales people, We kept them busy for a couple hours answering questions and showing us several vehicles. We test drove a couple and decided on an ESCAPE. Adam was very helpful, showing us how to use Android Auto and using Bluetooth. If we had a question, they answered it. We have been back a few times with other questions and have been taken care of very professionally.

Service Dept:Unorganized, Slow, Lack Communication - SportDriver
Long story short, they didn't communicate to me what was going on while they had my car. The only time I learned anything was to call myself or stop by. My car was there for a week and still not sure what all was completed as I just told them I couldn't wait any longer... I need to be able to commute. And they only allow you a rental for 1 or 2 days covered though they will string you along holding your car hostage for countless days. I still haven't gotten the completed ticket with tech notes. I am going up there tomorrow to talk to a manager. This is ridiculous!! I got my car a week ago with promises of a completed ticket for my records. And they clearly DID NOT address one of my concerns stating the technician didn't have time to drive the car. WHAT!! A whole week and the tech hasn't driven it to diagnose a problem that can only be seen by driving it. Sad. Tired of typical but there is more.

Our experience thus far with this dealership has been lackluster at best. It started with our initial visit to the dealership (an hour away) to look at a car that was listed online. We called before we headed out; leaving our young son with a babysitter so we could keep the process a little less stressful.
Upon arriving at the dealership we were told that the car was in fact not there at all. It had supposedly been lent out to another customer without the knowledge of the manager or anyone else. Later we were told that not only was it not there but it had been driven all the way up to the DFW area.
After some convincing we decided to go ahead and work on the paperwork with them to see if we could come to an agreement on the price of the vehicle and the value of our trade before we went any further. We came to an agreement on the finances, the things that needed to be fixed and that they would deliver the car to us first thing on Monday when the other customer was supposed to return the car. We didn’t take delivery of the car until Thursday or Friday of that week after a wasted trip of the salesman to our home with the car in filthy, unkempt state, apparently directly off its trip to DFW.
This was all back in November of last year! While they have made good on the easier/cheaper stuff that needed fixed, we have been given the run around on fixing the hail damage on the roof since then. It was all in the contract! Calls and texts have gone unanswered for close to probably 6 months now.

Service dept is in apt; replaced brake line on front and then tell I have alignment issue, had argue with tech to get him bleed the brakes again. Rebuild ignition switch and then had go back twice because remote start didn’t work and then the gear selector was out of position it read reverse when in park and 1 when drive! Avoid this place like it is the plague!

So we been going up to the local Ford Dealership. Looking at new trucks. We have purchased. 4 trucks and 2 SUVs from this dealership. in the last 13 years. Today while we was looking a lady come on a loud speaker and said we are unauthorized to be on the property. Everyone goes and looks at what's new and in inventory on Sundays while they are closed its a open lot with no gates. Done this every time I thought about buying a new truck or car. The point is the lady was rude. Her tone of voice was as if we had committed a crime. I've never been made to feel that way in all my life. I will tell you this. Everyone I know Everyone I ever meet I will tell them how bad My wife and I was treated on 10/14/2018 The fact that I was in a SUV I purchased from this dealership when this happened was simply pathetic on The dealerships part. I will be taking my $70,000 I was going to spend on a truck to another dealership. You can rest ashore me or any one i ever talk will never be on this lot again. Long as I live.
I was told that I was approved by the sales rep. - ILM1976
I was told that I was approved then that they neede a coapplicant I submitted my additional information then that I needed to call the credit bureau to remove an alert and I did. The alert was removed and then they told me the additional information was not good enough. Then they requested my moms information in which I submitted. The sales rep then called me , but he didn't know. He said only nonsense and going in circles and no one knows anything. Bad customer service very unprofessional.

Despite my multiple tellings of what was happening with my Ford SUV that I wanted resolved. The intake clerk had no engine knowledge and didn't pass it along to the mechanic. The mechanic finally stated I needed a new engine because he wasn't sure why I had antifreeze in cylinder #2 and he looked at the odometer and decided I needed a new engine. When I questioned him he said he wasn't sure if I had a crack or a gasket leak. I told him there is a big difference between a leaky gasket, or a cracked head and replacing an engine - he told me that he looked at the odometer and with that many miles he thought I needed a new engine. I told him that I had told the in-take people multiple times that I had a new engine in the vehicle that only had 60K miles. The mechanic said "I thought it looked like it was in good shape" He based his analysis on the odometer instead of looking intently into the problem. The clerk didn't seem to think that was a problem because he had zero knowlege of basic engine mechanics - which he admitted to me Now I have to take my vehicle to a much better mechanic who will repair my SUV based on real issues rather than the mileage on my odometer.
Worst Service Experience - 00000
Went in for an oil change tire rotation and balance after keeping my truck for 3 days overall (several trips back for problems) I now have 4 scuffed rims and 2 with huge gouges in them and my oil light is now back on. The service manager and Johnny Murray will not do anything to resolve my issues. Not to mention I was treated very poorly by the service manager this has been the worst customer service I've ever experienced! Very disappointed in the local ford dealership

Such crap service. I bought a brand new car that just shuts off in the middle of the road and I've waited all day to get a rental car or to hear something about my cat, and have yet to hear anything. Saying they are can't tell me anything. Awful. Awful I wouldn't recommend this place at all... to anyone!!!!
