I ordered a rear view mirror thru 'Accessories.Chevrolet for my newly purchased Malibu, a mirror that included buttons for the "HomeLink" garage door opener... the OEM mirror does not include a built-in universal garage remote. The mirror was delivered to Gunn parts dept, and I was notified of its arrival by SHERRY on 7 May 2026. She went out of her way to find when the appropriate technician would be available for installation, and she scheduled me for an appointment the very next day. Super nice. Then when I arrived for install the next morning, ROLAND CORTEZ handled the entire matter in a very professional and efficient manner. This is a new car for me and I took this opportunity to pick ROLAND'S brain on a host of features. This gent is a walking encyclopedia! Not only did he show me details about what I asked, he went a whole lot further. To say I am pleased and impressed with the GUNN Chevy service department is putting it mildly. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure my complete satisfaction...a rarity these days. Also, I was in and out in about 1 hour, another amazing fact! This place is now my go-to for all things Malibu. Nice waiting area too. If I ever start my own company, I will definitely recruit these 2 outstanding folks. The service department is absolutely the worst. They never pick up. They don't return you calls even after you've called a million times to check on your vehicle. They make every excuse in the book. What's even worse, if you're a woman, they talk to you like your an idiot. This is the last time I will bring my vehicle here. I even tried to contact the manager of the service department and have yet to hear from him. It sucks when you pay so much for a vehicle to have it sit in a garage until they can look it at for up to 2 weeks.

I took my 2022 Chevy Silverado in for service due to transmission problem. They had my truck for almost 3 months. I got it back and was able to drive it for three days and it did the same thing that I originally took it in for. Transmission is messed up again. I haven’t heard anything from them in a week. This is starting to really irritate me. I don’t think it’s fair that I’m paying on a truck that’s almost already spent a quarter of the year in y’all shop .

When he arrived, the car had 37K, not 33K miles as listed and they had the audacity to update the listing while he was in the dealership. Nick in the windshield. Complete service records were not provided as requested. Fees that were agreed to be remove were not removed. Didn’t bother to detail the car. Unfortunately, this was a very unsavory experience filled with dishonesty and gaslighting - we did not purchase the vehicle. A significant amount of time and money was wasted in travel to get the vehicle. Would not recommend.

Don't take your vehicle to this dealer for repairs. I took my sons 2012 Silverado in for a air bag recall and the technician cracked the dash. I talked to Dalton the service writer and he said there was nothing he could do and that it was a common problem. I then talked to Brad Tegeler the Service manager and he said the only thing they could do was to replace it at cost. Why should a customer pay for their incompetency. Its a shame people/businesses wont take ownership for their mistakes. I was in the process of buying a new truck and had originally talked to one of their salesman. I wont do business with someone that wont do what's right and hope you don't either.

Fixed all but found I needed plug wires that weren't on the estimate. Replaced the wires free of charge. Truck (a Ford) runs good as new. Fast turnaround, fair price, quality work. Highly recommend their service dept.

Purchased a vehicle from this dealership in May 2024 — and within just days, serious problems began to surface. I returned the vehicle multiple times and made repeated requests for repairs. Over the course of several months, I personally demonstrated the issues to service staff, recorded conversations and incidents, and even installed a dash cam to document the ongoing problems. Despite all of this, the dealership refused to repair the vehicle. As of July 1, 2025, the dealership has still refused to release the vehicle's service records. When the co-owner requested them, they were told “we don’t have any,” despite the vehicle spending multiple days — even a week at a time— on their lot. Involved individuals: Stephanie Johnson (Service Dept): Offers no assistance and passes customers off to a service manager who lacks knowledge or initiative. Alan Whitson (Service Manager): Refuses to take responsibility, denies valid concerns, and places blame on the customer. Tommy Taylor (General Manager): Acknowledged the issue and even said they would "just go ahead and replace the radio" — which was never done. Nancy Kern: Handled communication with the DMV during the formal complaint I filed. After that, the dealership refused all service, claiming that I had “taken legal action” simply by initiating the complaint. This dealership is not trustworthy. In fact, they went so far as to issue a criminal trespass warning against a disabled veteran — solely to avoid making necessary repairs. They ignore warranty obligations, avoid accountability, and withhold documentation that customers are legally entitled to receive.

This dealership is horrible at fixing vehicles. Took my vehicle around 3-4 times to get the AC fixed in it and they will replace all the expensive parts without fixing the AC. Had my AC going out on my 2018 Tahoe took it in the first time. I informed them that compressor was going out and it possibly needs a new compressor due to research on the issue it was having. They took it for a week and then they told me my rear evaporator is leaking replaced it said it was fixed didn’t make it 15min down the road and it completely went out worst than when I dropped it off took it back in and said the compressor was out (what I originally told them the issue was due to my own research). Replaced the compressor and it was good for almost 2 months and started again. At this point I was suspecting a leak or faulty new compressor. Took it to another shop to diagnose since the first few times dealer couldn’t fix issue. They told me the compressor was not working properly. Since it was just replaced I took it to dealer to get warranty compressor. They informed me that compressor was fine and had a leak in front evaporator core and quoted me $4000 to fix. Told them I didn’t trust there opinion and was getting a 3rd opinion took it to 3rd mechanic and after a week of tracking down the issue they informed me that they can send command to compressor to turn on some times it did some times it didn’t witch that was the issue I was having. And the solenoid inside the compressor was sticking and it needs a new compressor. Went to the dealer with my findings to get a new compressor so other mechanic can fix the issue properly. Was told I’m out of luck unless I bring vehicle back to them. Not a chance on this earth will AL Wilford ever receive another dime from me and will let everyone know they have mechanics that can’t figure out a problem even if u spell it out for them. Do not take your vehicle here if u actually want it fixed!

I found the truck we bought on ebay from this seller but i think they go by Gulf Coast Chevy now but the address is for this dealer off google maps. May be a name change. Anyways after working through ebay with Todd Baker We did a surprise drop in since it was close to where we live. After taking a test drive we came back and made a deal that we just could not let go. While we waited for finance to go through we decided to leave the dealer to go to Lake Jackson. I think they were worried we would not come back but they did not chase us down or try to keep us there (unlike some dealers i know). They called us while the wife and I were eating lunch and gave us the scoop and we told them done deal we will be back shortly. Long story short this was the best and least hassle free buying experience we have had yet buying a vehicle. Everyone was was great to work with. If you check them out ask for Todd and tell him the Pennington's sent you.

On 12/7/08 My wifes Suburban broke down in Yoakum while visiting her mother in the hospital, My brother-in-law had Cooper Cheverolet pick it up and was told the fuel pump was bad 400.00 to repair, they then called back and was told it need a wiring harness another 400.00 we told them to put the parts in a box and we would pick it up but they charged 190.00 to put it back together, it was brought back to my regular mechanic and repaired by replacing a 20.00 harness and labor totaling 192.00, he said there was nothing wrong with the fiel pump. I called a dealer in Houston and was told a new fuel pump comes with a wiring harness

Service Dept. is terrible! They never called me know what they found when I took it in for issues with my 4WD.I went by and they said they could not call me as their phones were down.. mind you as I arrived they were standing outside talking on cell phones! I went by 3 times to find out what was going on with my vehicle and no one from service was there to help or could get on the phone and the sales guy- manager on duty- was rude! Their story was they could not follow up with me on a call due to phones being down at their location-When I said, "You all have cell phones!" he threw the paper with my information at me and said, " I can't help you- have a nice day"... Then- on top of all of that, They let my friend pick up the vehicle without even calling me to confirm he had permission to do so!!! REALLY????!!!! Terrible service! I bought the car from them... 2 months later I bought my son a new car- and I DID NOT buy it there!
