I was an out of state purchaser and found a used car online. I called about the purchase price and worked with Steve Chang to come to an agreement quickly. We were able to start the paperwork process vi online. I called about the purchase price and worked with Steve Chang to come to an agreement quickly. We were able to start the paperwork process via phone. All I had to do was show up test drive the car and then pay the OTD price. It was one of the faster car buying experiences I have had. My only comment would be that it would be nice if there were a way to purchase the car and have all of the paperwork taken care of remotely. If you aren't as concerned with needing to test drive a vehicle, having to travel there just to sign paperwork and hand over checks is a waste of money and time and there are places that will do it all remotely. Additionally, if you are an out of state purchaser you should know that in California the second you drive a car off of the lot you are required to pay sales tax in California. Which, may or may not transfer to your home state. It is different than almost every other state in that regard so just keep that in mind. You will likely be better off shipping the vehicle, which is what I did and Puente Hills Hyundai were also very helpful with helping facilitate a car shipment. More
