A family member had her car totaled by a distracted tow truck driver! Luckily no one was hurt but the family car needed to be replaced. All the news and all the advice said it was a terrible time to shop for a used car because of high prices and low inventory caused by the pandemic. I sent word to Dan Cohen and John Clarke at Liberty that I needed a good used car at a good price for an out of town family member. (I bought my first new Forester there in 2000 and when I decided to buy a new one in 2017, I went right back). I knew I could count on Liberty and in particular, Dan & John. I was not disappointed. Within the span of a week, we had a beautiful, certified pre-owned 2019 Forester. It was the break my sister & brother-in-law needed after the accident and I was grateful to John & Dan. From test drives, to out of state purchase paperwork, to patiently answering questions & setting a very fair price, I could not have gotten better service. Both John & Dan are good humored, kind and knowledgeable. When the family came to NJ to pick up their almost new car, they were impressed and equally struck by the service and the welcome. No one likes having to buy a car in an emergency but Liberty made it a whole lot easier and really reminded us that car buying can be fun and easy and professional if you know the right place to shop. The Liberty Subaru staff made the purchase a stress-free experience from the time I walked into the showroom to the day I drove away in my new Forester. John Clarke, the salesman who assisted me was very professional and informative. He understood my situation and at no time did I feel pressure from him to make a purchase. John worked with Dan Cohen, the sales manager, to offer me a deal that worked for me. He also worked with business manager Dave Finkel, a very nice young man, who assisted with financing. When Subaru’s financing rate changed Dave worked to find a financing term and rate that worked for my budget. When I returned to pick up my car several days later John was very helpful and most of all, very patient. He took the time to explain the new features in the Forester and assured me I could return to the dealership for assistance when necessary. Thank you to the entire staff at Liberty Subaru for making my new car purchase an exceptional experience. More
