I dropped off my vehicle on July 7th, 2025, for a scheduled maintenance appointment on July 8th at 12:30 PM, under a prepaid service package. When I asked my advisor, Greg, why I was being told this at the end of the day, he stated that it is standard procedure to notify customers at day’s end. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for customers’ time and ability to plan. The following day, I still had not received any update. I called at 3:00 PM, asked specifically for Josh, and was told he was in a meeting and would return my call shortly. Instead, Greg called me at 3:25 PM, asking if they could inspect my brakes under warranty—something I had previously been quoted for twice during past visits. I agreed to the inspection, but again received no follow-up call. I had to reach out yet again at 5:00 PM, only to be told they could not locate Josh. Greg finally called me back at 5:06 PM to tell me the brakes were not currently covered but might be soon, and recommended returning in 3,000–4,000 miles. He also casually mentioned a drive shaft issue—something I was never informed of before. I informed Greg I would be coming within 30 minutes to pick up my vehicle and that it needed to be ready—I could not afford to be without transportation another day. When I arrived, I was told Josh had a family emergency and left. Greg saw me but intentionally walked the other way without acknowledging me. When the vehicle was brought out, I learned the oil change and spark plug service had not even been completed. I was told Greg was on the phone handling an extended warranty claim and that I would need to wait 30 - 45 minutes if I wanted to speak with him. I declined to wait and asked for a vehicle to drive home. I was told no loaners were available, and Hertz was closed. I was instructed to just drive my car home, despite being told the brakes had been apart and had been "rushed back together." I refused, as I did not feel safe driving the car with my children inside. Only after I stood firm did Josh, over the phone, authorize to get me a rental. What I was given was a dirty Nissan covered in bird droppings, with visible dog hair and stains throughout the interior. I was told Josh would contact me first thing the next morning. He did not. Instead, I received a vague message from Greg saying no work would be done on my car until Josh or Chong approved it. I called again at 9:27 AM. Josh finally answered and told me he had “just gotten in” and hadn’t had time to look into it. At 11:30 AM, I still hadn’t heard back, so I went to the dealership in person. Upon arrival, Josh asked me if the vehicle was done. When I said I didn’t know, he left to check and confirmed it was ready. He also said the department had been busy and that he didn’t have time to investigate what happened. That response made it clear that my situation was not a priority, and had I not come in person, I may still be without my vehicle. Throughout this ordeal, Greg repeatedly told me the service was “free,” implying I had no grounds for complaint. This is misleading. I paid for a service package, and nothing about this experience was complimentary. This experience has disrupted my schedule, caused immense frustration, and shown a complete lack of professionalism. Frankly, I’ve received far better treatment from non-luxury dealerships. The level of communication, accountability, and customer care is far below what I expect from the BMW brand. More

I had the rotors and wheels on my 2015 F83 M4 replaced at BMW Sarasota at the end of May. As soon as I received my car from service, I noticed my steering wheel shaking. During their inspection, the dealership told me I needed new tires, so I initially thought the shaking was tire-related. However, it became clear that the problem started after they replaced my rotors and performed an alignment. In fact, the alignment even damaged my front tires, forcing me to replace both. Even after installing brand-new tires, the steering wheel shake persisted. My own mechanic confirmed that the issue was with the rotors, not the tires. When I brought this back to BMW Sarasota, they refused to honor the warranty, claiming the problem was caused by the wheels overheating and coming into contact with water. After I refused to accept their explanation, the service manager, Josh Cash, personally came for a test drive. He stated that he believes the rotors are not damaged (even his service department says damaged), but are typical drilled rotors for M4s, and told me that if I didn’t want to feel the shake, I would have to brake harder. I was shocked that he claimed this level of steering wheel shake is normal and offered no solution—a completely unacceptable response, especially since other owners of the same model do not experience this problem. Steering wheel shakes occur during both light and hard braking. To make matters worse, the receipt clearly states a 12,000-mile / 1-year warranty on rotors and brake pads, yet after spending $2,000, the dealership refuses to address the defective parts. As a BMW driver who pays a premium price, I believe this is not the way customers should be treated. BMW service is extremely expensive, and people can get the same work done at other mechanics for much less. I chose BMW because of the labor and part warranty, but this experience shows otherwise. Our family owns three BMWs, and after this experience, we will never return to BMW Sarasota dealership. They are smiley until they make the sale! Terrible experience overall More
