Everyone here was extremely knowledgeable, polite and helpful. There was no high pressure sales tactics, just a fair and honest up front price and a great service plan included. Mike and Josh were both great to work with, and great guys in general. Made the process super easy and were very accommodating. My experience with Brad was fantastic. He was attentive to my questions and was a straight shooter. I would have given the experience 5 stars if it weren't for the sales manager agreeing t He was attentive to my questions and was a straight shooter. I would have given the experience 5 stars if it weren't for the sales manager agreeing to a price as long as I made my decision that day since I was planning to take the vehicle for an extended test drive. I held up my end and got back to the dealership within a couple of hours of taking the truck off the lot and decided it was the one I wanted to buy at the price we had verbally agreed upon, again, with the stipulation that the offer was only good through the close of business that day. When I got back to the dealership the sales manager then pulled the bait and switch and told me it was now a different price. I even offered to split the difference, but they told me they had it sold for more at wholesale. I left the dealership frustrated and fully prepared to go buy elsewhere as I did the last time I was looking for a vehicle and we ended up buying a brand new 2021 Explorer from Bo Bueckman. The next morning they called me and were willing to accept my offer to meet halfway on price. This was after they knew I was on my way to St Louis to look at another truck at Bo Bueckman just like I did when I bought my 2021 Explorer. I know this is all part of the negotiation game, but it's a bad sales practice to verbally agreed upon a price with the stipulation that it's good through close of business and then go back on that offer when I come in to close. If that were to happen again, it would be the last time dealing with Machens. More
