When you ask Kevin Cappelli about his job, he’s quick to tell you that fixing cars is only part of what he does every day. The rest of the time, his goal is to make sure his customers are happy. “That’s the important part,” he says. Cappelli, service advisor in the Don Ayres Pontiac GMC service department, knows it’s frustrating to be without a car. That’s why he and his fellow employees do everything they can to minimize inconvenience to customers. For starters, they make repairs as quickly as they can. They also help arrange alternate transportation via the Don Ayres courtesy shuttle or a rental car. The ultimate goal: to make things as easy as possible for those facing unexpected or untimely repairs. When he’s not at work, Cappelli says he likes to spend time with his wife and play golf. He has worked full time at Don Ayres for four years but began working at the company part time in 1999. “It’s an excellent place to work,” he says.

Female Friendly Honda Service Doug Waltz, Doug Settle, Kevin Cappelli, Troy Johnson (mechanic Dave S.), along with others not mentioned, have always been friendly and helpful when Doug Waltz, Doug Settle, Kevin Cappelli, Troy Johnson (mechanic Dave S.), along with others not mentioned, have always been friendly and helpful when I bring my 2001 Accord in for service. I have not ever had a problem with any of the staff. They are great about caring for my service milestones and the times that other things pop up! When I have a service that takes a few hours, the shuttle is a great way for me to get a thing or two done while I wait. Otherwise the waiting room is nice enough, I do not mind waiting there. I recommend Don Ayres Honda Service for anyone with a Honda! They do service other vehicles as well and I am sure you would find the service to be what you expect it to be, great! More

The best service place in town Our company spent years bouncing from service shop to service shop. But once we found Don Ayers, we settled in. For the past 12 years, we have been bringing most of our company vehicles (they don't work on our biggest trucks so we have to go elsewhere for those), as well as our personal vehicles. GMC's, Fords, Hondas & Toyotas have all been handled with excellence. Hands-down, bar-none, this is the best service place in town in my experience. Over the course of these years we have received hundreds of services and repairs from Don Ayers. No one is perfect, and there have been a few "misses" (less than one percent). But even these are handled with professional responses. Kevin Capelli does a great job as our head account manager, and Charles Suter is the consummate professional as our point man. And all the guys are well-trained to fill in when Kevin or Charles are not available. Having experienced the service departments of many of the other Fort Wayne options, I think it is crazy to use anyone else. Stick with the best for less headaches and less down time. We are already thinking of buying a new Honda HRV in the near future so we hope Andy is still around when we are ready. By the way, our first Honda was a 1979 Accord hatchback we had to buy used because back then there were no new ones in stock. More

He is the warmest and the most capable service technician I have ever encountered: knowledgeable, up-to-date training, professional, and personal. Doug Settle is master Service Manager, without a doubt the most competent person in my 30 years of experience. He expects excellent performance from his team. It is obvious that he is respected for his professional and personal interest in his employees and those whom he serves as customers. My deceased wife was an enthusiastic and satisfied customer and considered Dave Steenport to be the person we would miss the most if we ever relocated. Two of my three daughters are Don Ayres Honda owners -- one lives near Atlanta, and the other in Gurnee, IL. The latter receives all of her service on her Honda ('06) from Dave Steenport through Doug Settle. Simply the best . . . Doug & Kevin are the only service employees that make me feel good about spending money on my Hondas.
