2016 Tacoma TRD Off Road Transmission Problems came in asking to have my transmission fluid checked, i'd been having problems with it hesitating to shift (up or down), sticking when going from P to came in asking to have my transmission fluid checked, i'd been having problems with it hesitating to shift (up or down), sticking when going from P to R, and slipping gears at cruising speed. i expressed all of those concerns and was assured it wasn't a problem, even though i insisted on having it checked. on the service card that came with the truck, it labelled "Check ALL Fluids" at pretty much every service interval, no mention of special treatment involving a sealed transmission. after they couldn't replicate any of my issues they denied my request. i talked to another person, Alex, i think, asking what would happen if i checked on my own and found it low. he told me it was impossible to check without a scan tool. turns out it's not that hard to check, same as Tundras. i checked it myself in about 45 minutes and was low 3/4 of a quart. i added some myself (OEM Toyota ATF WS part number: 00289-ATFWS-4) and all my problems seem to have disappeared over the course of a couple days. i'm disappointed, to state the obvious. i really wanted to like this dealership and continue coming for service, they were friendly and well organized, but this experience will have me looking for another service department. hopefully one that takes all concerns seriously. note: any other '16 Tacoma owners should try and get their transmission fluid checked. through my research, i've discovered a handful of automatic V6 models with the tow package have come from the factory low on fluid. Car was ready exactly when he said it would be and even gave it a complimentary car wash. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and provided service with a smile. Service on the spot while I waited. I called about a warranty issue with my new car and I was told to bring her in. Kevin Hurlic is AWESOME!!! I bought my 2003 Prius in January of that same year at Ventura Toyota. I have ALWAYS taken my vehicle to Ventura Toyota for service and return to Ke I bought my 2003 Prius in January of that same year at Ventura Toyota. I have ALWAYS taken my vehicle to Ventura Toyota for service and return to Kevin over and over again. It is VERY important to me to see familiar, smiling faces in the service department. Kevin has always been very friendly, honest, trusting, informative and goes over and beyond for me to make me feel comfortable with any service I am having at the time of my visit. He is the main reason I return to this dealership for my ongoing maintenance service. Marcelino is my second choice, if Kevin is not there, since he too has been at the dealership since I bought my vehicle. Unless for emergency visits, which it has only been once, a number of years ago, I ONLY deal with Kevin, or Marcelino, if Kevin is not available. More

MARCELINO IS THE MAN!!!!!! MARCELINO IS THE REASON I HAVE HAD MY RAV4 SERVICED AT VENTURA TOYOTA FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS. I RECENTLY TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE OIL CHECKED AND MARCELINO IS THE REASON I HAVE HAD MY RAV4 SERVICED AT VENTURA TOYOTA FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS. I RECENTLY TOOK MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE OIL CHECKED AND IT TURNED OUT MY CAR WAS USING UP MORE OIL THAN IT'S SUPPOSE TO; THEREFORE, THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REBUILT, MARCELINO ALSO ADVICED ME OF A RECALL I DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED. BEING THAT MY CAR WAS GOING TO STAY AT THEIR FACILITY A FEW DAYS MARCELINO WAS KIND ENOUGH TO PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL DURING THE COURSE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY REPAIR. I NEVER CALLED TO CHECK UP ON REPAIRS AS MARCELINO DID A PHENOMENAL JOB OF PERSONALLY CONTACTING ME WITH UPDATES. Marcelino was very professional. He made great judgment calls on what I actually needed and what could wait. We are a Toyota family and have always had good results from the Ventura Toyota Dealership Serv calls on what I actually needed and what could wait.
