When I arrived, I explained I had a hard stop at a time to pick up my children, and even if I liked the car, I would need to come back. I ended up liking the car enough to have the dealership pull my credit and see what financing numbers would look like. While on my lunch at work the following day, I contacted my bank, Chase, to see if I could secure better financing, to which I was able to. Fast forward, I returned to the dealership with the pre-qualification letter from Chase and was at the point where I was speaking to Mr. Nassar regarding financing. The rate I was approved for through the dealership at the beginning was at 5.99%. Upon presenting the better financing option from Chase, I was asked to leave the room while he verified it was legitimate. Afterwards, I was pulled back in to where Mr. Nassar was visibly agitated. He proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to use Chase as my finance company, that there would be a fee passed on to me since they didn't directly deal with them. I explained to him my financing offer was for a dealership that was listed on Chase's site as a preferred dealer, and in fact, their dealership was on the list and handed him a printed copy of the list, with Currie Ford highlighted. He scoffed at this and presented me with another financing offer at 5.49%. I stated, I would prefer to finance through my bank. He reaffirmed that there would be a fee passed onto me for their dealership doing business through Chase. I stated that it was fine and I would take it up with Chase. He then back peddled and said legally he couldn't pass it on and that the dealership's bottom line was more important than my financing offer. Subsequently, towards the end of the financing paperwork, he gave me grief that he had "everything ready to go yesterday" and stated "the world doesn't stop for you" and continued to insinuate that my business wasn't needed nor wanted. Ultimately, I was able to finance through Chase bank with my better financing offer. Also because of my experience, I have sent a letter to Chase to inform them of my experience of trying to be bullied out of working with bank when they are a preferred dealer. Additionally, the salesman promised a full tank of gas upon completion of the sale and it left the lot with a quarter tank. When I questioned him about why it was a mistake, he stated Mark Kischkel had already left for the day, and said he would ask Mark to mail a gas card and it should arrive by Wednesday. As of today, almost two months later, it still hasn't arrived. I would assume it either was lost in the mail, or based on my experience with the buying process, probably wasn't mailed. More
