Chat with me for a few minutes, and it’s easy to see why I dig my job. Put simply, I believe in the product – and the Don Ayres Experience. My coworkers and I don’t just sell cars, we build meaningful relationships with our customers. I have been the Honda sales manager at Don Ayres since November 1999 and before that I was in sales for 3 years. My father sold Honda's here for over 20 years, so it is really a family affair. I've been married to my beautiful wife Kara since 2004. We have 2 awesome children, Caleb and Savannah. We have lived in the Fort Wayne area all of our lives and enjoy going to Hamilton lake and spending time with family.

They are the best, they are fast, helpful, answers all your questions, even concerned about your day if bad or good. I told the guys i was moving they even wished us luck, and have a good safe trip. How many times has a total stranger come up to you and said that. The only thing is i am hoping i find a Dealership in florida half as good as Don Ayres, The service people and mechanics at Don Ayres is second to none. And i would recommend them if i come across anyone that needs there car worked on in Fort Wayne Indiana. More

Problematic? Hope not! This is the second issue I have had with Don Ayres Service. This time I only had the oil changed and since then I have had oil on your garage floor. This is the second issue I have had with Don Ayres Service. This time I only had the oil changed and since then I have had oil on your garage floor. We just thought maybe it was just leftovers from the oil change. We have now had to clean the floor 3 times. We did check the oil and it states it is full. Don't know where it is coming from but it has made my garage floor a mess. More

Not the Don Ayers experience I came to Don Ayres Honda to possibly purchase a CR-V for my wife. At first, everyone was very helpful. The sales agent did a great job explaining a I came to Don Ayres Honda to possibly purchase a CR-V for my wife. At first, everyone was very helpful. The sales agent did a great job explaining all the features of the vehicle. We returned on a few separate occasions to test drive, as we were also looking at the RAV4 and were in the process of comparing the two. Through Internet research, I located a dealership 3 hours away in Illinois that priced out the CR-V for more than $3000 below MSRP and they would include a handful of accessories that my wife wanted such as all season-floor mats, mud guards, door edge guards, etc. Armed with this information, we went to Don Ayers to see if they would match the deal. The offer that Don Ayers produced for the car was reasonable, but still thousands off from the offer of the other dealership. We filled them in on the price we had been quoted, but they saw no possible way to match it. The salesman told us they match any deal guaranteed, and if they can't match they pay $100. However, he said this had only been paid out once in the dealership's history. I invited him to speak with his manager about matching the price, gave him my cell phone number, and walked out of the dealership (because that's what you're supposed to do, right?). Our salesperson called us a few days later to let us know there was no way they could match the price. The Don Ayers salesperson was sure the price we were quoted was in error. I re-read the price to them and stated what accessories and options were included. I clarified that the price included the accessories and did not include tax or title. They concluded that there was no way they could beat it because it was "unreasonable." I asked about the $100, and they said if we actually purchase the car in Illinois, bring the invoice in and we could get the $100. We did end up purchasing in Illinois, and a few days later came to Don Ayers to claim the $100. The sales manager refused to give out the $100. He falsely claimed that he would have been able to match the price. He claimed that we had misrepresented the actual bottom line of the quote, and that was the reason he refused to match. This was demonstratively false, as we had the quote from Illinois in writing and had emailed a copy of it to the salesperson at the beginning of all this. He also claimed that the accessory package on our vehicle is not Honda certified and is cheap compared to what he would have installed, which is also false. I did not want to drive three hours (one direction) to purchase a car, but I did in order to save a few thousand dollars. I did so because Don Ayers forced my hand and would not work with me. They did not even provide a counter-offer, not once. If they had come even close, I would have considered buying with them to avoid the long trek. The $100 guarantee was offered up by the salesperson. I didn't even know about it until he mentioned it. Of course, when I tried to collect, the sales manager had the nerve to tell me I could have bought the car here in town for that price, which is a complete lie. Although this is the only Honda dealer in the area, with the availability of the Internet I encourage anyone interested in a Honda to e-mail around and see what other dealerships will do for you, as this experience with Don Ayers leads me to believe they are either completely dishonest or simply incompetent. Between my wife and I, we have purchased 6 new Hondas from Don Ayres. I recently was in to see about trading my 2012 Civic on a 2014 Accord. I had visited O'Daniel Mazda first to check out the new Mazda from Don Ayres. I recently was in to see about trading my 2012 Civic on a 2014 Accord. I had visited O'Daniel Mazda first to check out the new Mazda 6, then went Don Ayres. I informed the salesman that I had been to the Mazda dealer first. He asked me what the price on the Mazda 6 was and I told him $23,790 which was more than the Accord at 23,545. I also told him that they quoted me a trade value on my Civic of $14,600 which was $200 less than my payoff. I had Gabe run some numbers so I had a comparison to think about and talk with my wife about. After being a very loyal customer, he proceeded to quote me a trade value of $11,000. But he said since it was lower than O'Daniel, he would discount the Accord $1,400. This was a slap in the face. He knows that I am a returning customer and this is the xx offer that I get. Anyway, I went back and bought the Mazda 6 for $25844.58 with tax my negative equity and doc prep. For the lower sticker price on the Accord, I would have ended up paying approximately $27,761, a difference of $1,917. Now tell me that they value their customers. If I decide to buy a Honda again, I will make the drive to Indianapolis. They have forever lost my wife and I as a customer. More

After deciding it was time to move on from the vehicles that had been good to us for several years, we looked at both Sedans and small SUV's while trying to find to find one to meet both financial sense as that had been good to us for several years, we looked at both Sedans and small SUV's while trying to find to find one to meet both financial sense as well as personal satisfaction. Basically we looked at GM - Ford - Toyota - Honda while covering the primary models that fell into our search pattern. In the end, the new Honda CR-V won out as the vehicle of choice for my wife to drive. Working with Don Ayers dealership made the purchase process go seamless while helping us get the deal done to meet our budget. Having had the service done there regular, the work is done as expected and at the best cost in town - $ 12.95 oil change ( for vehicles purchased there ). I will continue to promote them and followed my own advice while getting a 2nd CR-V last fall for my daughter. Absolutely a great vehicle and a great dealership to work with. If you're needing a salesman, ask for Bill Fenoglio who will do you right during the process. ** the only problem I have had is that I don't get to drive either of them ! More

I recently purchased my SIXTH Honda vehicle, a CR-V EX-L. I have very severe back problems from twenty years in the construction industry and another twenty years working on concrete floors as a Technology E I have very severe back problems from twenty years in the construction industry and another twenty years working on concrete floors as a Technology Education teacher. The CR-V with the ten way seat and power lumbar cushion turned out to be the ONLY vehicle/seating combination that would allow me to continue to drive comfortably! I have always encouraged my kids (who each own two Hondas of their own now) to buy Honda for high value, low maintenance, comfort, fun, and "just turn the key and go RELIABILITY". I would also recommend that you at least give Honda a serious look when you choose to purchase your next vehicle. Of special note in my recent experience are: Rick Squires the Manager in New Car Sales, Shawn Baney my Sales Representative, John Hofmann in Finance, and Troy Johnson in Service. Each of these gentlemen get five of five stars from me for excellence in their respective areas of expertise at Don Ayres Honda. More
