Took the car in for recalls. Picked it up, started it and tried to drive it but it stalled. It would start but wouldn’t run when idling slow or stopped. Had issues prior to appointment with it stalling while driving when it first warmed up. That would only happen once and it was fine after that. Continued to try to get it started and running while staff walked all around me and no one offered to help. Sent message to customer service and they shut the office down and left without responding. Limped the car home. Same issues all the way and continued to have same issues. Now it is parked and will not run. No power. No gas getting thru. Won’t pull an incline. Useless and has left me with transportation. Customer service suggested some kind of option at a price and stated that sometimes with inspection they will flush some parts and it could cause particular buildup. Or, I could go to another center that was cheaper to get the flush done. My car was running with the exception listed above when I left the dealership. It hasn’t run since I picked it up. Whatever they did should be corrected at no charge. That’s called customer service. I have one recap left that they couldn’t do until they ordered parts. I can’t get the car there to complete that service. I can’t get the car out of my driveway. And they wanted to charge me $40 to tighten the battery cables that they took off. I was told they found the battery in less than perfect condition when starting service. I just bought the battery the week before and it was installed without any problems. Dealership states it must not have been installed correctly. I watched them install it and it was in place and tightened down. When it was found to have a problem to begin with it should have been addressed with me immediately, not after completing service that required the battery cables to get loosened. And then indicate a charge of $40 to tighten it up. The experience was definitely less than perfect and I have been inconvenienced by it since I picked the car up. I have no other transportation available and can’t get anything else because I’m still making payments on this one. None of this makes good sense and the lack of caring about checking the problem out to see what the cause may be is unacceptable. The goal is obviously to make as much money off of the customer as possible. I had $3,500+ suggestions for maintenance and’ and repairs on a car that has a KBB value of $2700. If my car was running when I dropped it off and it isn’t running when you pick it up it is obviously a dealership issue! I’ll never own another Hyundai. More
