Purchased a new F-150 Platinum truck the end of May. At some point in time we lost all the paperwork that came with the purchase of this truck. We contacted, either by a message left on voicemail or email. After getting 0 responses I decided to contact Mr. Russel, the General Manager of 5 Star. We sent Mr. Russel an email on July 18th asking for some help getting copies of this paperwork. Explained how we had been completely ignored by others in management and finance. As of today I still have not heard back from Mr. Russell. Even though we have bought 3 pickups and 5 lease/buy different SUV'S from 5 Star in the past I felt this organization is done with you as soon as they get your money and drive off the lot. I finally decided to drive to the dealership and see if I could get some help in person. Found our salesman and he took me directly to a Mr. Luis D. Gonzalez who printed out all the paperwork I had been unsuccessfully trying to get since mid June in about 10 minutes. Mr. Russell, I have to ask, "now was that so hard to do"? We won't be going back to 5 Star ever again. More

I bought a 2022 Ram 2500 today 17 May 2023. On the way home I noticed a vibration, I stopped to make sure the lug nuts were tight but there was no jack, no lug wrench or the equipment to lower On the way home I noticed a vibration, I stopped to make sure the lug nuts were tight but there was no jack, no lug wrench or the equipment to lower the spare tire. ( All safety equipment must be present and functional) Got home and the kids wanted to check out the new truck to find out the rear seat belts are inop. So I started looking deeper. Looking underneath I asked them to clean the residual oil off the undercarriage but they only cleaned the oil drain plug leaving the excess oil from the oil change all over the suspension, engine etc. Moving to the back, Carfax shows no accidents but I knew it had been in the body shop from pictures the salesman sent me. The tailgate pops loose after driving for a while and there are bare wires showing from a parking sensor. Also the main wiring harness for the rear bumper and all sensors wasn't locked into place, wires exposed, electrical mounts and dust covers not installed. 19 May 23 I have raised my initial review considerably. I was contacted by the General Manger, personally where we discussed my concerns. Some of my issues were indeed poor communication on both sides. As for the mechanical issues we have agreed to a path forward that hopefully ends with a positive outcome. Thank you to Trey and Scott who showed genuine concern and truly want to make this right. 3 June 23 The Dealership came through and did everything that was asked of them. Trey Russell, the GM sent a driver 3,5 hours to provide me with a vehicle and take the truck back to the dealership. They had it for 5 days and addressed every issue I had. Mr. Russell told me they subcontract work on vehicles that are not Ford and was very disappointed with the condition this particular vehicle had been returned to his dealership for resale. He assured me " this is NOT how we do business". Either way, I thought this was going to be the stereotypical used car stuff that I would have to fight and fight to make it right. Not the story with these guys. They made it right, took good care of me and were genuinely concerned for me and for the reputation of the Dealership. Hats off to Mr. Trey Russell and Scott from sales, I appreciate everything you have done to earn my repeat business. Even if I have to drive 3.5 hours to do it. Thanks guys, you're a 5 star dealership for a reason. I have never had this quality of service when dealing with negative issues. More

I want to commend Five Star Ford Carrolton on being very customer service oriented and focused. I have dealt with them on trading vehicles and on servicing my vehicles. I especially want to recognize Anth customer service oriented and focused. I have dealt with them on trading vehicles and on servicing my vehicles. I especially want to recognize Anthony Deltoro, service advisor, for outstanding and exceptional customer service. I have done business with many dealerships in the DFW metroplex and without a doubt, especially post covid, Anthony absolutely provided the best customer service I have had the pleasure of receiving. He was true to everything he told me, was amazingly responsive to my requests and he actually answers the phone when you call. If he is busy and not able to answer, he will call back. He takes the time to find a way to get something done in favor of the customer, if at all possible. I cannot tell you how rare this is nowadays but I'm super happy I found a man that still believes in doing his best and making the customer happy, all with a great attitude and demeanor. If he ever decides to move on to another dealership, I will follow him there with my service needs.......he's that good. More

Hello sir, I’m taking this to the top to let you know how I was treated by your service department. Yesterday (1/6/2023) I brought my 2019 F150 (which I purchased there), for an 5:00 online appointment oil c I was treated by your service department. Yesterday (1/6/2023) I brought my 2019 F150 (which I purchased there), for an 5:00 online appointment oil change. I pulled into the service area and no one came out, so I go inside and there was 5 people just sitting there doing nothing but I didn’t say anything. Eventually I was helped. At 5:30 my truck was finally moved. At 6:30 my service advisor came out and said we’re backed up, 1 1/2 hours later? Finally got my truck with the oil change and there was no charge. Fine, thank you but none of the other services were done, no tire pressure check, no top off of fluids and no reset of the oil status. There are back ups in this business and I understand it, but at least inform me early if there’s a problem and fulfill your service duties that are required with an oil change and don’t cut corners. More

This was our first experience with 5-Star Ford in Carrolton, and overall I have to say that this dealership, on the whole, works hard to take care of the customer. Despite a bittersweet experience with our salesperson, Alex Ruvalcaba, everybody worked hard to ensure we were happy with our purchase, none more than Alexandra Benvenuto. I cannot give the dealership 5 stars, because our salesperson, Alex Ruvalcaba, was far too typical of a car salesman. Once the sell was complete, Alex was no longer interested in taking care of our concerns. We purchased a 5 year old truck that was a certified pre-owned vehicle. After getting the truck home, we discovered a variety of issues that needed to be addressed, some more significant than others, but all of which should have been caught and addressed as part of the nearly 200 point inspection that should have taken place. Mr. Ruvalcaba treated the purchase like we bought a piece of junk off some tote-the-note lot rather than taking care of us, going on to complain that we were "mad at him" for things that weren't his fault. I had to explain to him, as if to a child, that I wasn't mad at him, but that he was my single point of contact and should be handling things differently. Fortunately, Alex Benvenuto picked up the ball and addressed all the issues and concerns we had without question. She sent a driver across D/FW to pick up the truck while I was at work, got all the issues addressed, and had the truck back to me by the end of the day. Thank you, Mrs. Benvenuto! Later, I found a couple of other issues; nothing major, but the kind of things that should have been fixed in advance. I contacted Dennis White, Mr. Ruvalcaba's sales manager, who had been pulled into this earlier in the process. Mr. White made arrangements to have the issues fixed, so I took the truck to have the items addressed. I give Mr. White 4/5 stars, because he never spoke to me while I was there, never apologized for the issues - never even personally acknowledged I was there. I assume this is part of the ridiculous hierarchy of car sales where people like him don't have to talk to customers - just one of the reasons I hate buying a vehicle. That said, he arranged for the issues to be resolved, and in the end, that is what I wanted. All in all, I am very pleased with the price of the truck we purchased. We looked everywhere, and in the midst of the chip shortage, Sam Pack had that hidden treasure for the right price. Ultimately, the service was good, but not excellent. There were standouts in customer care such as Mrs. Benvenuto as well as those that seem to not care at all, such as Mr. Ruvalcaba. I would definitely recommend purchasing from this dealership, and I would recommend the internet sales experience. However, I, personally, will not deal with Mr. Ruvalcaba again and suggest working with other professionals at the dealership if you want a better experience. On another note, I feel I should call out Mr. Trey Russell. In the midst of my frustrating interactions with our salesperson, I left a less than stellar review through another site. Mr. Russell left a message apologizing with instructions for how to reach out to him via email. I did so, and never heard from him. Mr. Russell, that message "looks" great when you leave it as a response, but does little when you never follow through. More

I paid a visit to this dealership on 5/1/21 and was greeted by Eric G. We discussed options and he presented me with a car that was on the showroom floor. He introduced me to his manager Reuben K and h greeted by Eric G. We discussed options and he presented me with a car that was on the showroom floor. He introduced me to his manager Reuben K and he was demonstrated he was eager for business. After thinking about it, I did not want to proceed. I then received a follow up call from Eric on Monday 5/3 and he presented me with a different option which I was interested in. We exchanged several emails regarding the option he presented and I provided him with information he needed and I agreed that I would come to see the car and test drive it on 5/5. I came there on 5/5 about 2:45pm. Eric said he was going to get the key. 10 minutes or so passed and he came back and said the car was not there and that it was given as a loaner to someone and he was trying to find the ETA of the car. Then said he knew I wasn't going to be happy so passed the buck to his manager Reuben K. Mr Rueben then came over and apologised and asked if there was another car I'd like to see. I informed him this was a bad way of doing business, wasting my time with all the emails, calls and coming the distance I came to test drive and potentially go through with the lease. Questions: 1) If Eric already knew I was coming, why would he not ensure the car was available? It wasn't sold. 2) Why would Eric or Rueben not present alternatives to me in this situation, rather than asking me if there was another car I'd like to see. I don't know their inventory. Thats their job. 3) Why waste my time and think that its ok? I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place and suggest you think twice before you waste your time with this company. More
