With the help of the fabulous Carl Dyson, we succeeded in getting all our needs taken care of. We purchased a 2012 Honda SUV and are loving it. I love my new 2016 Honda EX-L w/ sensing (Cosmic Blue Metallic -- what a stunning color!). Even though I live an hour and half away in Maryland, I'm 100% satisfied that my search for a new car ended at Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg.
When they say they deal in volume sales, they mean it -- their inventory is huuuuuuge (there's even cars on the roof)! They had the exact model, trim, options, and color I was interested in when every other dealership in the DC, MD, and VA area couldn't locate one. And even for such a hot-ticket car as the new Civic is, Pohanaka offered me the most competitive rate I was able to find without hassle. They also honored an additional e-mail discount (thanks again Kingsley!) and even beat my own independent financing pre-approval quote.
LeighAnn in the Internet Sales Dept. was very receptive to my initial inquiry and did everything possible to streamline the car buying process. Unlike other new car dealerships I have encountered in the area, there were no awkward sales-pitches that make you feel uncomfortable, no shady window stickers with additionally installed dealer options, and no hidden or unexpected fees -- the out the door price they quote you at, is what you will knowingly expect to pay in advance. Unthink what you know about "car dealerships" and "car salesmen" because Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg deserves to be in a class of their own.

Rafael is one of the most knowledgeable personnel I have ever met at a car dealership. I owned 25-30 vehicles in my life. I've not met nor dealt with any dealership that satisfies me or my spouse other than Sheehy.
While the financials are great with American Honda, the sales and service forces must also rate high for me to return.
I return as well to the dealer's staff who can explain and show all the various parts of the vehicle to those of us who require slow, responsive and seasoned assistance.
The sales manager and general manager are also very much appreciated. Rafael could not have done his job without their training and authority to him to do it the best way I have ever seen or experienced.
Let us not forget the service personnel. The manager and his employees who get the vehicle into its initial beauty and the hard work and dedication of the service tech's who write the issues, perform the initial inspections of the jobs to be performed, then actually making the time and functions required in a fast yet completely outstanding manner.

I haven't had to make a car payment on more than 10 years, so the thought of having to have one again was a bit daunting, to say the least. I worked first with my credit union, who has a partnership with Priority, then went on to the dealership.
Originally, the car that we wanted was in Chesapeake, but Tim Godette found one on their lot (Hampton) -- closer to home. He let me take it home to show my family and we went over it pretty thoroughly. It was wonderful to be able to give the car a good inspection for ourselves without the pressure of the salesmen or the dealership right there.
We ended up starting the purchase that night and finishing up the next day. We were fortunate in that we were able to see and handle the car before it had had it's "new car cleaning". We could better evaluate what we needed to see that way. By the way, massive, epic kudos to the detailing team! The original owner clearly had a dog and there was hair EVERYWHERE! They got it all out!!!
In the course of our transaction we also worked with used car manager, Jim Hensley and they both went that extra mile to make sure we were happy with everything. Jim even verified that the engine guarantee extended further out.
I really cannot say enough good things about these guys and we are very much looking forward to a long relationship with Priority Honda.

Well, I went into Hall to get my REJECTED 1999 truck, so my wife and I thought we would look at some cars . We were approached by Tommy Hancock and we let him know we were "only looking". He let us know it wasn't a problem but proceeded to let us know what was available. He then convinced us to 'test drive' a CRV. While we were still "looking", not buying, I did like the ride. Well, after working a Great deal for us, we ended buying and look forward to a great ride for years to come. I bought my first car (a 2016 Honda CR-Z) this past weekend from Derreck Folgar. I was really nervous about the whole car buying process, but Derreck was extremely helpful and responsive throughout. He was quick to respond to all of my questions prior to arriving at the dealership, even on his day off.
Most importantly, he was very transparent about the total costs associated with purchasing the vehicle. I had contacted almost 10 different dealers inquiring about price, and most of them were unable to provide any straightforward answers in writing (much less, competitive OTD offers). Derreck was able to offer me a great deal on my car over email, and without any hidden costs.
I ended up driving 2 hours to Tysons Corner from Richmond in order to purchase my CR-Z. It was a huge relief to have a fair price negotiated before traveling, and a car already set aside for me. Since it was my first car, the process ended up taking a little bit longer than expected, but Derreck was really patient with helping to explain all of the aspects involved with purchasing a car that I wasn't familiar with.

The time and personal care and attention my husband and I received from R. J. Jackson was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in, a CRV with the Touring trim Level. At the time, we were trying to decide between purchasing a Nissan Rogue and Honda CRV. "RJ" is the person who actually sold us on buying a CRV and we are happy he did. Unfortunately, Colonial Honda didn't have a mountain air metallic CRV with FWD and the Touring trim level and was not able to locate one at a dealer that they could trade with. We were able to do an online search and locate the exact vehicle we wanted. We made the purchase a few days ago at a different dealership.

Steve expertly assessed our needs and led us through the process of selecting what we thought we wanted. Test drives, information about a couple of models, and several sit-downs where we discussed alternatives all went toward helping us find exactly what we wanted. Pricing was a friendly, non-confrontive process, as was the trade-in of an older car. We now are proud new Pilot EXL owners and feeling good about it!

A molding and the roof of my 2013 Sentra came off somewhere. The dealer looked at it during the factory time. I took it back for them to look at and I was out of the factory, but I had purchased the extended warranty from dealer, it didn't cover moldings. We discussed problem and they replaced molding at no charge to me.

I have been coming to this dealer for service on my Honda for 4 yrs now...If there is ever a time where you feel like the service wasnt up to par just speak to a manager. They aim to please and appreciate their customers. That says a lot. They really do try to strive for ppl's business which is why I continue dealing with them. I went across town in Chesapeake to buy another car at another Honda dealership because First Team Honda didnt have much of a selection at the time. Worst mistake! Even with the other dealership's gimmicks of free oil changes and engine guarantees you can't beat First team Honda's attitude going above in beyond to provide excellent customer service. while they may not give you free oil change but their vehicles are already price cheaper than that competitor that it really does NOT matter. Plus how much do you really spend in oil change a year anyway? $130 if even... Not worth paying thousands in total price of a car at the other dealership. Do your research and do the math. In addition to the care, and excellent customer service you will receive at First Team Honda. Spent your hard earned dollars where a company value you as a person and not how much they can get from you.

Scheduled service for 9:00 am Saturday, March 5, 2016. Two hours later, no work done to my car. To say the least, I was very disappointed. I was given a free oil change voucher, but I have to wait again and hope that my time is not wasted again!
