Our Sales Representative was Igor Kushnar and he did an outstanding job in managing our experience. He made the paperwork painless and was exceptionally knowelegeable about walking us through all the features of the car.

I had an appointment with another salesman, who went AWOL. Tommy Hancock worked with me to get a great deal on a vehicle I wanted. I feel very fortunate that I got to have Tommy as my salesman. He is professional, patient, hard-working, knowledgeable, kind. He made, what can be an arduous task, a cake walk! While we were waiting, Tommy had the car cleaned up, even cleaned my license plates and their frames (talk about going the extra mile!), and filled my gas tank! I love my 2014 Honda CR-V EX!!!

My husband and I did about a year of market research on buying a new vehicle. We had both been previously exploited by the local Hall Dealerships. So needless to say, we were very skeptical when it came to car dealerships.
By doing our research, our intention was to be well informed and not be blindsided. We got preapproved by our bank and knew exactly what we wanted. We had already test drove it and watched several YouTube videos throughout the year.
When we finally decided to go ahead with the purchase, the only other choice we had to make was which dealership to buy from. And we knew which one we DIDN'T want! So I contacted Checkered Flag Honda, via an online query. Now mind you, this is somewhat out of the way for us, but we were adamant about not giving Hall one more penny! I received a call within minutes. It was Carl Dyson.
I told Mr. Dyson that I was interested in the Honda Pilot and wanted to come to the dealership and meet with him. I told him that I was going to take an Uber to the bank to pick up my preapproved check and then to the dealership. He insisted that he could pick me up and that I didn't have to take a cab. And that's exactly what he did.
I expected my day at the dealership to drag on forever as they always tend to do. I always imagined dealers betting behind the scenes on who can make their customers wait the most. And whoever won, got a special bonus. At least that's what it felt like. But this was different. I was confused. Why was I comfortable? Should I be feeling good about this? I always felt tired and nervous before. Oh wait, I don't have to negotiate a price! Carl is getting paid regardless. Another thing I noticed immediately, which took a minute to get used to, was that everyone was happy. There was genuine joy in the room! It wasn't your typical dealer-desperado stampede the minute you step foot on the lot. It really takes a moment to take it all in.
So fast forward to our purchase. We bought the amazing 2017 Honda Pilot Elite. I am so in love with it!! When we went to pick it up (it was at the car show for the weekend), the computer systems were down. This meant that I could not get my tags because it required use of the DMV website. They gave me temporary dealer plates and asked if I could return the next day. I agreed.
I wasn't feeling very well the next day and asked if I could postpone it until the next day. Carl said not to worry. Next thing I know, he came to my house and actually put the plates on himself for me!!!
I would also like to thank DJ, in finance, and Paul, the manager for their kindness and hospitality.

Usually buying a car seems to take forever however time flew by fast as my family and Oscar all talked about music from the 70's-80's up until the moment we drove off the lot. I found a car online Sunday morning as I was perusing one of the online sites, not Sheehy's. I found a 2014 CR-V with low mileage and it wasn't gray (it was blue) so I was intrigued. I inquired and within MINUTES I received a phone call and an email from Rafael Perez. He answered every question I had while I gathered my family to see this vehicle. I told Rafael I didn't want to deal with anyone else. If I'm talking with him, I want to work with him. Other dealerships tell you to come in to meet with Manager So & So. You get there and spend about 45 seconds with the manager and then you're hoisted onto a salesperson who is still cutting teeth. Rafael met my family and I right away, showed us the vehicle, and we test drove. The negotiation process was great. I was very tired at other dealerships of the salesperson saying "let me check with my manager," and barely budging. I understand it is a business and the dealership needs to get their money's worth, but that experience is tedious and gets old fast. Rafael and Dean (manager) worked with us to get the price we felt was fair. Then Robert (also excellent at his position and an all-around nice guy) from Financing explained our options clearly and got our plates on, got our car insurance updated right then and there. We drove out -- four hours later -- with the vehicle I saw seven hours prior online. Call Rafael for your next vehicle - he listens, answers questions promptly, and works with you. He isn't trying to sell you, he wants to earn your business.
New Lease! 2017 Honda Accord - Mrs. Griffin
I arrived at the Harrisonburg Honda looking for a new Honda CR-V or Pilot. Upon arrival I was paired with their salesman Nathan Coleman. After a brief question and answer period, He informed me that leasing a new 2017 Honda Accord would be my best option, since that's what I was trading in. Long story short, I ended up buying the vehicle. Nathan's professionalism was top notch and their finance team was grade A.

I saw the previous review of this employee and was shocked as our experience was nothing like this. Either Eugene has matured into a completely different person in 8 months or this account of Eugenes behavior is not 100% factual.
I will say this: this is a business, and if you don't come into this store educated and informed this business is going to try to make a profit. That is just the way capitalism works, God bless America. So be forewarned, don't come into this dealership or any other without knowing average price points and values. Other than than that, Eugene is a fantastic and respectful salesperson. The maintenance team is extremely warm and friendly. Senior management when faced with me walking out buying nothing, was willing to get me a deal that persuaded me to buy. I would not have done so without Eugene.

My first new car (Honda Accord) buying experience had been amazing and wonderful with Ben Kim, so I had to come back with my second car purchase. I was just in last night to purchase a new CR-V with my best friend and again, Ben, the managers, and the finance representative exceeded my expectations! We gave a hard time to Mr. Kim during the negotiation, but he was diligent and patient with us and tried so hard to best meet our request. I really appreciated for all of Mr. Kim's help and patience. I am very satisfied with the deal and will strongly recommend to my family and friends. I truly became a Honda fan and will purchase more cars from Honda of Chantilly as long as Mr. Kim is around!!

Everywhere else I went to purchase a vehicle, no one could help me. But somehow Tabitha did, she took charge of my situation and even pick out my new truck. Under normal circumstances I would not travel 20+ miles to have service performed after a new vehicle is beyond warranty. But, because of the complete service dept at Miller Honda(and especially Amy, over the years) we even come back for oil changes. That now is approaching 10 yrs with our 2008 Honda Pilot which is serving us extremely well - Thank you !!!

Poor Service, Worse Sales - hondadriver
Bought vehicle back in September and had a bad experience with the sales department both in demeanor of sales person (Jim) and sales manager (Freddie) but they also gave me a vehicle with a known defect. (front passenger door actuator broken) that makes a loud "shuddering" noise trying to lock the door every time I lock the door. Leading me to their poor service department which has tried to fix it, and did not succeed - tried to take it back to get fixed and was told technician was out on vacation and no one else could handle it and I would have to wait a week.
Additionally frustrating - even though I came in with a pre-approved loan from my bank the finance manager ran my credit against several other banks causing my credit score to be negatively affected.
Overall - very bad - would not recommend, and wish I had not gone there in the first place.

Buyers beware! You cannot see the interior of the vehicle unless you are ready to purchase the vehicle. Want to see more than one vehicle? Better be willing to buy 2 cars. According to salesperson who refused to show interior of the vehicle, it's AutoNation Honda's policy. If I cannot see the interior to make an informed decision whether to make the purchase or not, I will take my business elsewhere.
